But where are his good plays?

  2. Vincente Says:

Didnt look to good on this film. He’s very strong but a bit slow. Hopefully he can get quicker with his feet and hands and his vision needs some work when pulling, he doesn’t hold his blocks long enough either

I would love to hear Lovie and Licht explain why they gave up a pick to move up into the 5th to grab this kid that wouldn’t have been drafted. There were a few decent OT’s on the board but we grab this kid that will end up on the practice squad. Nothing impressive at all on this film. We can pick up better lineman from the undrafted free agents and our draft grade keeps spiraling down!

Agree with Espo and Vincente. Does a few things well, but doesn’t look worth a trade-up.

Looks to need conditioning. Really faded as the game went on. I liked the way he looked early. As with anything, if the technique is not perfect, as you tire the issues really jump out. Wish he had a meaner streak. Down 28-0 he was ready to get back on the bus. I understand it, but I want my guys to get meaner not milder as a game like that goes along.

He’s a better pass blocker but with the help of professional coaches he can improve. Fast and strong tho

Funny to read all the ‘Mike Mayock Jrs’ on here. LOL!

  8. Oahubuc Says:

Well, he’s the best player on that line, at least. That’s a bad unit.

  9. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

He missed block a few times there.

  10. Espo Says:

I love how he pulled and ran all the way down field, untouched. Maybe we found a new return man.

  11. Jim Says:

Don’t need a pass blocker when the QB of the future will only be throwing dink passes.

He’s a 5th round pick for God sakes lol…idk if ya’ll were expecting to see Joe Thomas out there!…from the film he looks like he has the tools to be a good o-line…he can get out on those bubble/quick screens we will throw, he has bad technique b/c he drops his head a bit but once again coaches get paid too…so that’s their job to coach him up b/c he has tools to be successful

I like the pick & giving up a 5th rounder next yr b/c if we are a playoff team this coming season that 5th rounder wouldn’t matter as much as it did when we gave it up!
