I love how Darrelle Revis handles himself with the press. He tells it like it is, he doesn’t just say the same old tired responses, and he didn’t get suckered in by the question about Schiano not listening. I mean seriously… he practically said “Can you give us a specific example of why Coach Schiano sucked?” Revis took the high road but still told the truth, without really hanging Schiano out to dry.

The question sucked – it was an obvious attempt at getting some dirt. He should have said “What new strategies do you think you’ll see on defense that you didn’t see this past year?” We might have gotten a real answer. Joe, I think the only thing to do is to send me, madmacskillz, out to cover the Pro Bowl next year. Just a thought. I’ll tell you what – I’ll even buy my own meals. Just handle the plane tickets (gotta bring my family) and pay for the hotel. Oh, and the hotel bar tab.

“Attempt for dirt? How would it have been dirt if Revis explained a situation where the secondary wanted to run zone and Schiano wanted man, or vice versa? Or an adjustment in alignment on run defense? Please. –Joe

Another armchair quarterback who thinks that he can do a better job.

Don’t beat a dead bug Joe. Schiano’s out and we don’t care about the past.

I’ll give you that the question about which was the favorite stunt of McCoy was hilarious. And McCoy answering it seriously was even funnier!

    No, he shouldn’t have.

Given the fact Revis has yet to meet with Lovie or Leslie Frazier, that may be one of the stupidest questions one could dream up.

Might as well ask for a forecast for Topeka, Kan. this time next year.

Joe!! Tillman announced that he is going to test free agency! Should we just assume he’s coming to Tampa this year??

  6. Patrick in VA Says:

I like how the reporter said they were out there at the site of “another grueling practice”. Maybe for the first timers that don’t know any better. From what I could see it was a bunch of guys goofing around.

Glad you were able to get some folks out there to get some interviews.

  7. Andrew 1 Says:

    grueling indeed lol.

No. Doubt Licht will be as aggressive on free agents as Dominik was. Licht’s own words from last week, “We will look for value in free agents.”

Keyword: value. As in if Tillman comes cheap.

    Sarcasm, Patrick. Sarcasm.

Joe, I won’t waste your time with any more “stupid” questions.

  11. Neil Says:

Robert Quinn didn’t seem like he had a tough time beating up Donald Penn. I couldn’t imagine a player ever saying another player was washed up…..well maybe Richard Sherman haha.

What’s the best part of Penn’s game, Robert?…..umm….well….he’s pretty big.

What’s up with the Grady beard, Joe? Revis looked super sharp when he signed with the Bucs for his press conference. Good goobily goop!

  12. Bucfan66 Says:

    Joe,

I appreciate the video and the great coverage, but madmacskillz is right. The questions are just terrible. You’re basically asking the players to throw people under the bus. Asking Robert Quinn if Penn is washed up? Asking Revis to name particulars of what Schiano didn’t agree with?

I don’t get the purpose of these questions??
