About that report yesterday from a Central Pennsylvania newspaper claiming Greg Schiano had an “intermediary” sniff out the potential head coaching job opening at Penn State recently?
Schiano said today there’s “zero truth to that,” so he told media at One Buc Palace. “And make it clear. The only job I want is the one I have right now.”

Take him. Puleez. I don’t dislike him, I just don’t think he is NFL quality coach. Too rigid. Not creative. Please send him away. I don’t want to spend another year like this last one where they sent away talent like Talib, Blount Dallas Clark, the “other” kicker, Underwood (resigned) Leonard ( finally utilized )and others. Being a Schiano man isn’t all its cracked up to be…If you went to training camp it wasn’t rocket science to see who and who could not produce.

Schiano says the only job he wants is the one he “currently” has. Now when Monday rolls around we will see coach.

I like Schiano. If the players have not turned on him there must be a good reason.
When he came here he was told the Bucs will have a franchise QB and nearly all the pieces to an offensive line.
The QB didn’t do well and the offensive line has been more erratic than my sex life.
Meanwhile, the defense, which he focused the draft on, is doing pretty well. I say draft a first round QB, get another WR and some oline, hopefully Nicks comes back healthy.
This would be a totally different team.

Newsflash…the media has constantly made up news throughout the entire season. And not just about the Bucs, though they were a favored target.

I don’t care about what the media does or doesn’t do to Schiano. Here’s one thing you can’t blame the media for : 4-11. Is it the media’s fault we average like 3 points in the second half? Is it the media’s fault we have the most horrible offense I’ve ever seen grace an NFL field (even when healthy)? Is it the media’s fault we’ve been a truly horrible team this year? I don’t think if he’s interested in the Penn State job that makes him a bad person. I don’t blame him. He’s much more of a college coach, and would probably enjoy success there. Of course he’s going to deny it – how can he not? Imagine how the players would feel if he came out and didn’t deny it – they would absolutely quit against the Saints, which would make Schiano look really bad. Besides, even if he wanted the job, Penn State isn’t going to hire him. No way, no how. But, I was just hoping that Santa would perhaps give me a good Christmas and make it happen. Fail.

But no one is talking about his record.
And plenty of people have the intelligence to separate false crap reporting about a man and who he is and the legitimate reporting that is simply and factually about a man’s poor job as a coach.
They do not go hand in hand, many of us do care about that major difference whether your able to see it or not.

The HC needs to be judged on his record. He has been given more talent than his predecessor and no matter how many excuses the Schianoites want to make, the 4-11 record is unacceptable.
