funny that you don’t see the stories about the gm being on the hot seat

I don’t know what will happen with Shiano’s job….it does seem the players are still playing for him….the only time I saw the Bucs lay down was during Tony’s last game, or one of the last games….like a 38-0 loss if I remember.

I think Richardson was basically right, except in the Freeman situation. I don’t think ANYONE could have handled the Freeman situation well. He basically gave up on the team before the season started. We didn’t have a first round pick…there weren’t many FA options….what differently could he have done, Anwar? Invited Josh over for marshmallow roasting and s’mores party? The mistake was ever believing that Josh had the physical and mental makeup to be a franchise QB…and that has been going on for years.

If Schiano closes the season out with a 6-10 or 7-9 record. I think they will keep him. Not saying he will achieve that record. BUT as far as I’m concerned with all the drama that has been swirling around him and the team. Starting a rookie QB, a 3rd string RB, no Mike Williams, The Freeman Saga, Fire Schiano billboards and screaming mad fans for 1/2 a season and you win 7 out of your last 8 games. He HAS to stay at that point. Even Schiano haters would have to reconsider their thinking on the matter.

I really do believe that Schiano is a good man with a good heart and intentions. I just don’t know if he is good NFL head coach at this point. You are what your record says you are

If we win 4 of the next 7 games, and Glennon improves on Cap’n Tim’s points: deep balls, 4th quarter balls, then O’l Greg will stay as HC.

Surely Schiano should remain, if Dominick remains. It would be ludicrous to fire Schiano after 2 years when he doesn’t even get to put his QB into play.

Dom would be given a 6th year, 3rd HC (2nd HC hire), and possibly the 2nd Franchise QB to draft, and Schiano isn’t even given the opportunity to have 1 full season with his own QB?

If we get the 1st overall pick, and we are HC shopping, our job looks a helluva lot more attractive with the ability to assemble their own GM. Only way Cowher comes back is if he gets his way. Same goes Chucky.

  8. BucsFan68 Says:

Schiano still needs to go; he did handle the Freeman situation in an unprofessional manner. If the QB you have is not the one you wanted, do what other teams do; say you’re moving in a different direction and get some compensation.

Schiano has seven job performance reviews remaining.
