Another One For Watson
November 25th, 2013Dekoda Watson was back coming off the edge yesterday, and he found his way to the quarterback again. This time it was a sack. Last week, it was getting to Matt Ryan’s arm that forced an interception.
What a concept!
The Bucs really rotated their edge rushers yesterday. Adrian Clayborn had a sack and tackles for loss, perhaps sparked by more time on the bench, giving way to William Gholston, Watson and others. Even Jonathan Casillas flashed on an edge rush.
Joe’s pleased to see the continued defensive line adjustments by the New Schiano Order. Matthew Stafford was the least sacked QB in the NFL entering yesterday’s game. The Bucs sacked him twice and pressured him pretty well.

Aside from the sacks, I think Bowers had the best pressure of the day…flushed stafford out as soon as he ended his drop and I cant remember but I think stafford had to throw it away.

you can also thank that Leonard Johnson pick six on McCoy. he was bearing down on Stafford and forced him to throw the ball to avoid a sack.

Clayborn was in Bush face all game long. He even covered a WR like 15 yards deep and prevented the WR to make the play.. I still think we need that guy on our roster
Bowers also had some good pressure so good for him!

I was on the death watch like everyone else…but now I am continuing to root for him to succeed as I always have since his success relates to Buc success.
The problem for some is that they have invested so much in hating Schiano that it will be diffcult for them to turn around…
Like I said “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” and Schiano & Bucs will be stronger for this experience.
Lets beat the Stinking Panthers…

I’m not a Dominik fan but I think Lorig and Watson are two of his best draft picks ever. That’s where a GM makes his bones.
And if Dominik doesn’t sign Watson to a long term deal this off season he should be fired immediately.

WTF happened to Trevor Scott? Teo is good but not better then Scott. TBO he was our best Pass rusher IMO!
