“I Don’t Think They Have A Head Coach”

October 24th, 2013

Tampa Tribune humorist Martin Fennelly and Patrick Welter of TBO.com discuss the state of the Bucs in their weekly TBO.com video. Fennelly suggests it is hard for Bucs to decide on a quarterback because they don’t have a head coach.

    They don’t have a GM either, but no one will say anything about that.

  2. MadMax Says:

    @Buc Realist, we’re here.

    And like he said in the video, you look at our qb situation, you see the 2014 draft, and then you see Winston in the future (2015)….what a crossroad!!!

  3. MadMax Says:

    How can you plan on trying for Winston, but at the same time, you dont want to tank next year. Well, Im thinking build up the Oline this next draft (plus draft WR high)…cut dead weight…sign a high quality DE and TE….then run with it….see where the cookie crumbles….then sell the farm for Winston in 2015.

    @madmax
    if that is the plan, then the bucs should do a fire sell to gather draft picks.

  5. Jamaal Says:

    I say we draft 2 high motor defensive ends in this draft (clowney and whomever else is the best player on the board out chance to pick), a qb such as bamas mccarron in the later round (because he knows how to win), a high quality te, (because we need that security blanket in the middle to give whomever our qb is a chance like Kellen Winslow back in the good old Raheem days) and finnally draft fullback this year preferably the guy from Georgia who knows how to follow daylight as a fullback (to be a big bruiser and to spark a better run game like graham use to do). I’m not going to lie glennon isn’t doing half bad. He maybe deserves a chance to prove he can play. But bowers is a bust. Ac is good but we need more out of him. Idk why we won’t start Trevor price, and they must utilize revis and banks to their abilities man coverage bump and run and get more pressure on the qb. Give your secondary you spent so much money on a chance to make plays that we know they’re capable of. And #FireSchiano

  6. Lev Says:

    Of course no one is talking about how Winston just puts up balls for his mammoth WRs to fight for.

  7. MadMax Says:

    Might as well Realist…..A new Coach and GM would salivate at that…Start with keeping McCoy Clayborn and Spence, of course David and Foster….Goldson, Barron, Johnson (maybe)…. Revis? (just cant say yet until more games in unless its obvious) Not done yet, but this would go on…….and I have to sleep for work tonight.

    Talent is talent…..we need a Coach who knows how to better utilize the talent….plus the refs do hate us because of schiano tactics

  8. Kaput Says:

    Winston isn’t eligible for the ’14 draft.

    It’s a quarterback driven league, and the Bucs don’t have one. The Bama quarterback wins because he’s Bama’s quarterback, not because he’s all that special.

    It’s awful, at times, to be a Buccaneer fan. This is one of those times.

    And don’t forget, the Bucs are STILL near the bottom in total payroll. Sure, they have spent some money on a few nice players, but where’s he depth? When you’re consistently at the bottom in spending, you’re going to spend a lot of time on the bottom of the standings.

    Oh well, it is what it is.

    @Realist

    Trust me, we are here. The Teflon Dom has got to go.

    @Lev

    You clearly haven’t watched Winston play much. Did you just see the Clemson first TD and make your decision? Winston is the opposite of that. I have watched many FSU QBs. He’s the first one in over a decade to put the ball where the receivers will be. He has SPECIAL vision that you rarely see these days.

    If you had said that about EJ or others, I would agree with you. But, when you say that about Winston, I know that you don’t know anything about it.

    why do we always have a high pick the year after or before stud qbs come out?????????? luck,jamis ect
