Schiano is going to destroy this team quicker than Raheem did.

I dont doubt it. The only way he gains my respect is if his guy can win at least 7 of the next 13. But even then, I say we bring in a proven veteran QB for legitimate competition in the offseason.

I think the issue that need to be addressed is this entire offensive system. It looks like something that was played in the 1070’s. It looks like it is played in slow motion and is designed for cold weather. With it’s downfield low percentage passing no QB is going to complete a high percentage of passes. There are 3 teams that run this offense in the NFL right now, the Bucs, Giants and Steelers and they are a combined 0-9. I agree that Freeman is in no way a franchise QB, but no QB will look great in this offense

  4. Neil Says:

Like Joe said….Brady and Manning have lots of drops from their receivers too and they’re both 3-0 and have resilience. Freeman gets rattled and people try making excuses, justifying why he’s not that terrible. He’s had his chances, not too many QBs have the weapons around him like Freeman does. What we have now isn’t working, there’s no reason our offense should be so lost and “punchless.”

    Neil:

In football, it is often a quarterback raises the level of his teammates; Freeman had to be carried by his teammates. Josh Freeman was one of the very few NFL quarterbacks who had to have his 10 teammates play near perfect football for him to succeed.

    Mr. Patrick,

You hit the nail on the head. The system is not working. Why not factor a TE in the offense? Jimmy Graham & Tony Gonzalez help their teams a bit!

we were fed BS when they said TEs dont play a big part in this offense. bottom line is they didnt want to spend any more money on a starting TE after signing our stud DBs to crazy $$$.

but they DO have to keep some cash around for our younger guys upcoming paydays.

Good point ‘Joe’ those guys really sucked around Freeeman. He made them get and bunch of penalties, drop those passes lose all the 50/50 balls good receivers go up and has been a pretty crappy game day coach. Maybe this will make him look at himself in the mirror and take some responsibility. I can’t wait to hear the excuses around here when he goes on to have a great career and win a super bowl for another team. Don’t worry I’m sure they will have a good enough team around him where you can give them the credit.

Cummings is not knowledgeable regarding the accuracy of Glennon. Chucky seems to think he can thread the needle.
