Ryan Family Gives Freeman Fits

September 15th, 2013

Last year, the Bucs faced off against the Cowboys and then Dallas defensive coordinator Rob Ryan’s confusing three-man fronts, and the Bucs had arguably their worst offensive performance of the season.

Josh Freeman was awful: 10-for-28 for 110 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Doug Martin struggled, too.

Last week, Freeman and Martin also were stymied by Rex Ryan’s blitzing 3-4 defense at the Meadowlands, completing less than 50 percent of his passes.

Coincidence? No, Freeman said on his radio show Tuesday.

“You look at Rex Ryan and he’s known for pressuring and bringing a lot of blitzes. We played against Rob in Dallas last year, and he was mixing it up with the fronts, and you turn on the Saints film, and there are definitely similarities,” Freeman said.

Rob Ryan is now commander of the Saints’ defense, which is banged up and has less talent than what the Cowboys had. But the Saints shut down the high-flying Falcons last week.

The Saints clearly will present looks that are uncomfortable to offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan and Freeman. Hopefully, the third time is a charm.

Gave Brady a fit at least as bad, if not worse, than they did Freeman. The Ryan brothers along with Wade Phillips are arguably the best 3-4 coaches in the business.

These are difficult defenses to play against for any QB, even the best QB’s in the NFL. Freeman is not especially inept in this regard, but the homers and the haters are blinded and are too far at either end of the spectrum and therefore lack understanding.

As for the Freeman trade stuff, I actually see that as the most likely scenario and it’ll happen during the 2013 season if it happens at all.

Do fans really believe they kept Orlovsky as an insurance policy against having to start Glennon too early? You honestly buy that propaganda being offered by Schiano? If you do I have some property in the Everglades I’d like to unload on you, sucker.

The most likely reason they kept Orlovsky is because if/when they trade Freeman they will need a backup QB on the roster who knows the offense. The signs are as clear as day: if Freeman stumbles and can’t steady himself, he’s going to be traded at some point during the season and Glennon is going to step into his role with Orlovsky as the backup.

Well,of course martin had a bad game and he will continue too as long as freegirl is lining up in front of him.C’mon man, everyone with half of a football brain knew going back into free’s last 6 games of last year that all they need to do is stack the box to stop martin and put it on gayboy’s shoulders duh!!!,not rocket science.

Gave Brady a fit at least as bad, if not worse, than they did Free. The Ryan brothers along with Wade Phillips are arguably the best 34 defensive scheme coaches in the business.

These are difficult defenses to play against for any QB, even the best QB’s in the league. Free is not especially underachieving in this regard, but the homers and the haters are blinded and are too far at either end of the spectrum and therefore lack understanding. They can’t see that JF5 is neither better nor worse than most other QB’s against this type of defense.

As for the Free trade stuff, I actually see that as the most likely scenario and it’ll happen during the season if it happens at all. Not after.

Do fans really believe they kept Dan-O as an insurance policy against having to start MikeG too early? You honestly buy that tale being told by the Bucs coaches and management? If you do I have some property in the Everglades I’d like to unload on you, suckas.

The most likely reason they kept Dan-O is because if & when they trade JF5 they will need a backup QB on the roster who knows the offense. The signs are as clear as day: if JF5 stumbles and can’t steady himself, he’s going to be traded at some point during the season and MikeG is going to step into his role with Dan-O as the backup.

Joe this is pathetic of you adding more fuel to the fire, you have yet to shine a light on the upgraded defense that diff the exact same things as last year and lost us the game. It’s really weak on your part but I’ll forgive you if you report on the storyline “the no flyzone” they are the ones that should have gotten the focus with drew brees coming to town because we’re not outscoring the saints no matter who’s under center
