Freeman Missed Bucs’ Team Photo

September 11th, 2013

In the wacky world of the NFL, where everything’s a story, Joe brings you the story of Josh Freeman missing the Bucs’ official team photo session earlier this month.

Yes, it happened. You might have read about it in the comments section on this site days ago.

Joe has confirmed that Freeman was a no-show for the annual photo ritual and Freeman was not excused by the Buccaneers.

Joe talked to various Buccaneers today at practice about it and no player told Joe it was a big deal. “Stuff happens,” was the common response.

Speculators, of course, will say this could be a reason Freeman was not voted a team captain. But Joe doesn’t buy it. Freeman himself said on his radio show last night that he voted for Vincent Jackson and Davin Joseph, the eventual offensive captains, two worthy veteran leaders.

Does Joe think this is a big deal? No. However, when you add other very minor screwups in Freeman’s career, it is a happening worth noting.

oh… this just gets better and better (sigh)

  2. The_Buc_Realist Says:

We should have traded Jfro-6pak this past offseason. possible that the Bucs could have got a 2nd round pic for him. If the pop-star is really a “rock star” then he is calling every gm in the league to unload the QB.

  3. Stevene Says:

Why would they unload a QB after 1 week in the last year of his contract? To start who? Glennon? lol…. Some people are morons

  4. ShutTheBucUp Says:

Maybe they’re just going to use the one of him dressed up like Michael Jackson?

  5. Andrew 1 Says:

I will say that missing the team photo is a bit disrespectful. he better have had a damn good excuse and apologized to his team for it.

  6. Buc1987 Says:

I also heard that he did not tie his shoes the right way the other day. Can you find that story Joe?

  7. Buc1987 Says:

Hey Joe, I have a suggestion for the site. At the top of the page you might want to consider a new title. Maybe call it.

A Good Place to Bash Your Team.

  8. RBellBuc Says:

Maybe it’s his plan to not be there next year. Maybe he’s decided to play out his contract and move on after this season..

  9. Warrenfb12 Says:

Add it to the youth football camp he missed that VJAX had to bail him out of. Add it to missing his segment on the Ron and Ian show. *Cough-Joebucsfan-cough cough* Add it to that sketchy interview he gave the next day.

  10. Buc1987 Says:

RBellBuc…maybe so. With stories like this it might be so. Maybe he truly has given up on this team, or football in general ala Ryan Leaf, who gave up on football in itself.

  11. BucsFanInChina Says:

Schiano: “No Josh, the bunny runs around the tree, THEN goes down the hole!!!”

  12. 911bucs Says:

    LOSER

  13. Adam L. Says:

You know who always missed the team photo? Barry Bonds. And we all know how much his teammates loved him.

  14. BFFL Says:

He’s an outcast that nobody likes. He might be gay

  15. BFFL Says:

Sorry..I’m not trying to be disrespectful to gay people..I’m just saying

  16. Buc1987 Says:

I’ll admit this story has got me wondering whether he cares anymore or not. I mean it’s one thing to ask to be excused for some reason or another, but to just not show up?

  17. Bucnnole Says:

This team is in total disarray and the season will get worse. Good bye Dominick, you POS. The Glazers had better bring in an experienced coach and GM next year or we are in jeopardy of becoming the Jags

  18. ShutTheBucUp Says:

I don’t think he’s given up on football. He said earlier this summer that his goal is to be the best to ever play the game.

Now about him wanting to play out his contract and ditch Tampa, I don’t think that is too far fetched. Tampa loves to hate their football team, namely the coach and quarterback. Who wants to stick around and try and lift the spirits of a community that is constantly crapping all over them?

  19. Nick2 Says:

I think while not looking like a big deal blowing off team picture day is pretty huge. What gives with this guy? I would like to know who else missed the team photo without permission. Thats kind of a big day at camp especially for the leader of the offense. Why would you blow off the team photo????? Now the story Ian and Ron told about Freeman blowing off his own kids camp one day as a no show no call is making sense. Is this guy above being a good teammate? Usually behavior off the field as erratic as this translates to a problem. Erratic off the field and then on the field. Anyone want to know which 3 quarterbacks had a lower QB rating than Josh Sunday??? Wheedon, Ponder and Gabbert (great company to be with). Not only did the Geno Smith have a better day than Josh but so did Terrell Pryor if anyone can believe that. I know its one game but everyone knew with the upcoming 3 after that the Jet game was huge. Everyone but Josh I guess……

  20. Buc1987 Says:

ShutTheBucUp…ask anyone on JBF who is the V.P. of the Josh Freeman fan club and they will tell you it’s Buc1987.

“He said earlier this summer that his goal is to be the best to ever play the game.”

^^^ uh huh Ryan Leaf used to say the same things.

  21. Pewter Bullion Says:

    – Who? Josh Freeman

    – What? Missed Team Photo

    – Where? Team Photo Location

    – When? Earlier this Month

    -Why? “???????????????????”

  22. BigMacAttack Says:

I think it is another symptom of a larger problem. Why did he miss it? Was he drunk? Laid up with some bimbo or bimboy? First he had the missing camp deal and now this. How do the Glazers feel about it? The leader of your team, your franchise quarterback misses the team photo, without reason. Every time they see the photo they will be reminded that Josh isn’t there. This is a real big deal in my eyes. I’ve been giving Josh a pass until the Jets game, holding out hope but I think all that money has got the best of him. If he worked for me and did that, I’d replace him as soon as I could. If we lose the next two games Glennon will start right after their bye week off.

Grow up Josh and be a man!

  23. Buc1987 Says:

Nick2…I’m not about to blame the Jets loss on Freeman though if that’s what your implying when you say stuff like.

“Erratic off the field and then on the field. Everyone but Josh I guess……”

There were far many more factors in that loss than Josh.

  24. lightningbuc Says:

How in the hell could he have missed the team photo? The JFro supporters said he was the first to show up at One Buc in the morning and the last to leave.

Boy, Boomer Esiason and Warren Moon sure were wrong about JFro weren’t they.

It’s becoming more obvious that it was JFro that was unprepared last Sunday, not Schiano and Sullivan.

  25. ShutTheBucUp Says:

Watching the Jets game again and he definitely seems different than last year. He doesn’t get fired up after either touchdown. Doesn’t celebrate with his teammates while they’re chestbumping and smiling. Just goes and sits on the bench and puts his hat on. Definitely something up.

  26. Splengo Says:

This is not the same Josh Freeman we once knew. He doesn’t want to be here anymore and could you blame him? For his sake and future he needs to be gone. I don’t fault the way he plays. I hate that he’s a pieback and won’t stand up to Schiano the way Rothisberger tells Todd Haley to eff off or Cutler told his coaches to pound salt. The guy has no hutzpah and has allowed Schiano to systematically dismantle his football career. The sooner he leaves the better.

  27. Buc1987 Says:

How did they keep this a secret for so long? That’s what I want to know. Maybe that’s what the players only meeting was all about. Maybe the rest of team wants to know where Josh stands with the team? Maybe Schiano suggested the team have a players only meeting and bring Josh in for questioning? Who the F knows?
Can someone, ANYONE, maybe you Joe ask Freeman what gives with the team photo? Not just ask other players but maybe ask the coaches or the Glazers or Dom?

  28. Stranger Says:

    @lightningbuc

You can’t just to such to such accusations without know the reason why. Missing a team photo isn’t of the same degree of the claims made against Freeman.

And no. You can try and spin in every which way you want, the team was grossly ill prepared Sunday. If Freeman was stumbling around like a drunk while Martin was racking up yards and the line was blocking, then your argument would hold water. But as it stands, Jackson was the best thing on offense, The oline was the worst, and Freeman shuffle in between those two.

  29. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

Sure, it’s just a photo, right guys?

But ask yourself this, can you think of any truly great QBs who would miss the team photo?

Is this the leader you want?

  30. Couch Fan Says:

I dont see what the big deal is. He doesnt usually show up on game day either… and were bitchin about a team photo? Priorities people.

  31. Andrew 1 Says:

I think being irresponsible like missing the team photo or his charity event just speaks to his immaturity. He missed the significance of it and probably didn’t take is seriously. as long as he apologized for it, I don’t our team is going to hold a grudge over it. Im sure they let him hear about it at the time though. the guy needs to grow up a little bit, and fast.

  32. Stranger Says:

    @Buc1987

“How did they keep this a secret for so long?”

Either a good reason came of later or they dealt with the issue then and there. Either way, they felt like it was nothing to dwell on.

  33. BigMacAttack Says:

You know what? Screw Josh Freeman the disrespectful little baby. The Glazers and their entire staff are busting their tails to sell tickets and get the games on TV. Are they doing for themselves? Hell no! They’re doing it for the fans of Tampa. They are smart and in tune with fan sentiment. Just Ask Jon Gruden. Photos are a big expense and they put a lot of effort and money into marketing and your star player doesn’t show up which says he doesn’t care. Kick his rear end to the curb. I don’t care how good he is, find someone that cares about their team and teammates. He obviously doesn’t.

  34. Justin Says:

Can’t be true, I thought Freeman was the first one in and last one out of the building?

There is something awry with this guy. Even I can admit that and I’m not one to look to bash Josh.

  35. Keith Says:

Amazing how one of you blamed Dominik for Freeman not showing up. Have another cold one.

  36. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Like I told you from first hand experience, Josh Freeman is not the first one in the building and the first one out. I’ve said it numerous times, I witnessed him being late to One Buc Place last year the day after the Atlanta game. He came around the corner doing about 40, parked in the “expectant mother” parking, and ran through the lobby (players have their own parking lot and entrance). He’s never the first one to the stadium on gameday either. That doesn’t mean he’s not dedicated, but don’t just make stuff up when I’ve seen something different with my own two eyes. I even have the picture of his car in the expectant mother stall.

  37. Ed Says:

You have to wonder about Josh Freeman’s ambition. He has the tools, big arm, mobility, can make the tight throws but then there’s the seemingly slower speed that he goes through progressions, the dazed look in his eyes, the inability to make the easy touch passes. Not sure why our quarterback hasn’t made the jump from “potential” star to actually performing on the field. He just needs to get out there and have fun and release the inhibitions that are holding back his game. Grow back the hair, put on some weight and run over some guys. I hate to see him go up in smoke but he is basically disappearing before our eyes.

  38. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    * I shouldn’t have said “never the first one to the stadium”. That was a mistake. Just the 2 games a year that I attend. Maybe he’s the first one there on the other 6 (home games). It is possible I guess, but not likely.

  39. Pelbuc Says:

I tried calling in today to the real class act duimig while joebucsfan was on his show today. Duimig hung up on me because I tried to answer his question on why the Bucs fans have soured on Freeman. What he didn’t allow me to finish was that for 5 yrs now, fans know what they have in Freeman and they don’t like it. He throws bounce passes to the RB, throws interceptions at the most crucial time of the game, is not accurate and plays with no intensity or leadership. I wish him well but he’s definitely not leading us to the playoffs. There, I got to say what I wanted and btw, what has Fran Tarkenton said that has proved wrong? Yeah, Schiano is not a good game day coach but it’s evident he doesn’t trust Freeman. Bad combination.

  40. The_Buc_Realist Says:

For all those that ask if Josh isn’t here than who will play? Just remember that the Bucs can still lose without Jfro-6pak.

  41. Buc1987 Says:

BigMacAttack…Exactly man. Exactly if you go down Dale Mabry they have pictures of every player on the light posts for f’s sake. The Glazers are trying like hell to sell this team to the public and this guy does not call or tell anyone he can’t make it for one reason or another. Does not even bother calling? Really just not show up? I wonder how many times Vinny, Trent, King or Johnson missed the team photo. Probably never.

  42. Tony Says:

    unreal

  43. Raphael Says:

Sounds like a bunch of 3rd graders here ….

  44. Buc1987 Says:

“the guy needs to grow up a little bit, and fast.”

He needs to grow up a lot a bit. There has to be more to this story. Joe you can’t just leave this here and put it down. Some people may see as not a big deal, but it is a very big deal. It does give off the appearance that he either 1 does not want to play for the Bucs anymore or 2 does not care about football anymore.

You know what ef this. I’m going to go to the place where the players come out to their cars after the game and ask him myself this Sunday. Hey Josh what about missing the team photo, do you actually care about this team anymore?

  45. Adam L. Says:

I don’t think Tom Brady or Peyton Manning would miss a team photo.

Brady or Manning also don’t bounce-pass 4 yard swing passes in the flat either………

  46. bucrightoff Says:

What kind of odds do you think I would have gotten as a parlay for both the Bucs losing to the Jets, AND being a bigger circus?

  47. Buc1987 Says:

Raphael…wake up and smell the stench that is.

  48. RBellBuc Says:

Man, I didn’t mean to start another conspiracy but all of you have to admit, Josh Freeman has been swept up in a media blitz krieg shite storm, and a lunatic fans have gone viral. He’s in the last year of his rookie contract, and he wants the hell out of dodge. I mentioned a couple weeks ago and people ignored me. Like I said, maybe he’s had enough and he just wants to finish his obligation before he moves on. I mean really, could you actually blame him, when some of his own Tampa predecessors went on to have terrific careers, and I have no doubt he will lift the Lombardi for someone else while we’re still jockeying for draft position. lol

  49. Buc1987 Says:

bucrightoff…lol I do know one thing about gambling, although I don’t gamble anymore. As a rule if the home team is getting points, you bet with the home. The Jets were getting 3.

  50. Buc1987 Says:

Can any Freeman supporter actually come on this thread and say it’s not a big deal?

    Raphael Says:
    September 11th, 2013 at 10:05 pm

Sounds like a bunch of 3rd graders here ….

What say you on this matter besides criticizing everyone else?

  51. BigMacAttack Says:

Raphael, ok I’m a third grader that runs my own business with MY money. And this is the Glazers’ business and their money. They have paid josh millions and millions of dollars and this is how he repays his employer. It’s easy to say no big deal when it’s someone else’s money. When it’s your money, you might change your tune. Everyone says the Glazers are spoiled filthy rich, but with that comes huge Risk. Mismanaged assets can quickly turn into major liabilities. There is a lot of time, money and training invested in Freeman and if goes down the tubes he may take the team with him. If Josh was in the military and pulled this crap, he’d find himself demoted to nothing working in the worst place doing the worst job.

Fans invest their time and money in their teams and it shouldn’t be taken lightly by their team’s players.

  52. Capt. Tim Says:

Was he at another ” NFL mandatory event”, like last year?
We only get the bad spin about Josh here.
Think it goes back to the” wasted draft pick” thing when he was drafted

Josh won the game Sunday. Game winning drive, with 34 seconds left? That’s a win.

Unless you have a small college coach- who doesn’t squib kick, goes with a 3 man, vanilla , no pressure pass rush.

With that kinda coaching- we will be lucky to win a game, despite having a very talented team

  53. RBellBuc Says:

If you ask him 1987 he’s gonna say, yes of course. Why would he say otherwise? He’s going to finish out the year and go from there. But I will guarantee that at the end it won’t just be the Bucs making a decision, it will be also Freeman’s decision. He may turn down any offer and Dom will let him walk, because Dom’s not really known for using the tag.

  54. Buc1987 Says:

    “who doesn’t squib kick”

Capt. Tim…OMG I said that myself like 20 times Sunday.

  55. Alex2013 Says:

    The Glennon Mob has arrived…

  56. Stranger Says:

    @Buc 1987

What stench though? All we know is that Freeman wasn’t there a for a team photo and wasn’t excused before hand. We have no idea if Freeman has a reason, whether its good or bad. The instant reaction from people here is “Freeman is an immature brat” as some word it. We have never heard such a thing from Freeman and he has shown up to other photo shoots, some of which were really reason (The one I’m talking about is the small web commercial to hype up Revis’s debut). So why would he miss this one. I’m not willing to jump on the thought train he somewhere with a bus full of hookers and a suitcase of drugs.

On side note, I do find it funny that this comes out after the earlier report of the team meeting over Freeman’s captaincy or lack thereof. Schiano denies it but PR does say there was indeed a player meeting recently. So one does have to wonder what IS going on with our dear team. Does Freeman have no faith in him? Does he feel disrepected and is getting pouting? Has Schiano lost complete control before the season began? I guess we may find out soon.

  57. Stranger Says:

    *really recent

  58. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ buc1987

as you know Im a Freeman supporter and while I do think it was a big deal at the time, in the grand scheme of things… its not. he can make amends by playing good the rest of the way and giving us a winning season, and Im still holding out hope that he will. if at the end of the season we have a winning record, this wont seem as much of a big deal as it does right now. wouldn’t you agree?

  59. Buc1987 Says:

RBellBuc…well sir he will be under my microscope from here on out. I need to determine for myself if he’s just a bad QB or he simply does not care anymore.
I still will ask him the question as a fan and not the media. That’s how big of a fan I am. I need to know, because if I don’t hear any answer or any confidence in his answer. I might consider selling off some of my tickets this season if he’s going to be the starter and does not care about this team like I do.

  60. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

    Raphael,

Hurry up and grab JoeFreemanFan.com while you can. Looks like you will be gone as soon as Free is.

Never understood the people who are fans of players over the team. Even Manning and Montana didnt stay with the Colts and Niners.

  61. ShutTheBucUp Says:

lol, this is getting a little silly. i’m tuning out until sunday.

  62. BigMacAttack Says:

Stranger, you can have Freeman, I’ll take the bus full of hookers and suitcase full of drugs.

Too many reports from too many sources all saying the same thing about Josh. If it looks like a duck and quacks….

  63. CC Says:

Steve Duemeg had him tied up and blindfolded to his bedpoasts.

  64. BigMacAttack Says:

I’ve supported Josh until last Sunday, and I see a guy who’s head is elsewhere out there only to collect a big fat paycheck.

  65. Buc1987 Says:

Andrew…Yes I would agree, but watch him closely man. See if he puts in an effort. Seriously put him under a microscope from here on out. Figure out whether he is actually trying or not. It seems the Bucs are loaded with weapons on both sides of the ball, but if the QB does not care anymore, that could be a big problem.

BTW for the rest of you that just want to say he sucks, I’m talking to Andrew and no one else. So bother all you want. I won’t reply.

  66. CC Says:

I heard on Douche bags show today he was bitchin about having to go into 1buc on his ” off day”

  67. Stranger Says:

    @BigMacAttack

That’s not the point. I’m saying we are hearing a lot about everything. Our detailed coach isn’t so detailed. Our dedicated QB isn’t so dedicated. Freeman isn’t a captain but is that legit? We have a bunch of questions from this week alone but no information that leads to answer. I’m not willing to bag on anyone because flying reports say I should until we get more information and neither should anyone else. Because if we ran things that way, we wouldn’t have a HC or QB tomorrow. But that’s my opinion.

  68. Buc1987 Says:

Andrew…A starting QB that’s in a contract year that does not show up to the team photo? Does that not say anything to you?

  69. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

I would love to get Dungy’s take on this. I thought Josh’s father asked Dungy back in 2009 to watch over and mentor Josh?

  70. Couch Fan Says:

Steve Duemeg had him tied up and blindfolded to his bedpoasts.

    —————————–

    LMAO

  71. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ Buc1987

lol my issue with him is not if he is putting in the effort, its if he can read defenses pre/post snap and if he can look through his progressions instead of staring receiver down, which he has a tendency to do. for me alteast, thats where I want to see the most improvement. the way I see it, if the coaching staff sensed for even one second that he didnt care anymore, he would not be the starting QB for this team.

  72. Buc1987 Says:

Has anyone in here called in sick for work and not actually been sick? I mean Josh did not even call in and make up an excuse. What happens to you if you don’t call in sick and just not show up?

  73. BigMacAttack Says:

No disagreement here about bad coaching.

My question is: Can I have Chucky back?

  74. Buc1987 Says:

“if the coaching staff sensed for even one second that he didnt care anymore, he would not be the starting QB for this team.”

Do you think they have any other options but not to start him?

  75. BigMacAttack Says:

Could be a lack of motivation. I think Josh really liked Greg Olson and playing for Raheem. Two sides to every story and them there’s the truth. It still burns me up about the picture thing. Extremely disrespectful.

  76. Buc1987 Says:

“My question is: Can I have Chucky back?”

LOL BigMacAttack sorry but that’s not going to happen. I loved the guy too and was pissed off when he was fired.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Fran Tarkenton,’’ Gruden said, “but I don’t necessarily agree with his comment on Josh Freeman. I’ve lived in Tampa 13 years, and I have studied Tampa Bay carefully for a lot of reasons. If you don’t think Josh Freeman can play, I think you’re making a huge mistake.

“He broke franchise records (passing yards, touchdown passes), and I’ve seen him do it at a high level. That means he can do it again. Not everyone agrees. I’m accused of being too positive and liking everybody, but I do like Freeman. I wish I had Josh Freeman, I’ll just say it like that.’’

  77. JoshFreeBucs Says:

why in the hell, would I want to be somewhere where I’m not appreciated, where my coach don’t think that I’m a good QB,after he, (the coach) makes me change the way I play the game, know he don’t trust me as a QB ?? where only one of my teammates (Mike W) have the guts to stand up for me. and where the fans are to blind to see what is going on, and to realized that this is not a one man sport and it’s not up to me how it is played.
I will be out of here next year with a team that is going to let me play the game the way I know how to, ( a mobile QB ) and not a pocket QB like what they want me to be. and hopefully I will have a chance to comeback and tear you all a new one.

  78. Buc1987 Says:

Where did Raphael go on this? He just dipped out? WTF?

  79. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ Buc1987

it doesnt matter if there is a better option. if his reason for all of this is not caring, you can be sure the coaches are going to give the job to someone who does care, such as a back up who has a desire to play and do what is asked of him. I think the coaches would much rather take there chances with a guy like that, instead of a guy who doesn’t care. imo if you dont care, you already have lost, and Im sure the coaches would feel the same way.

  80. Buc1987 Says:

Raphael…Am I not the biggest “Freemanite” next to you? Why do you run and hide? Weigh in on it.

  81. Buc1987 Says:

Andrew 1…well then maybe that’s the reason they did draft Glennon. Not because of lack of Freeman’s potential, but because of his lack of caring. Who knows? Not saying Glennon is the answer either. I’m just saying watch #5 very closely from here on out.

  82. Buc1987 Says:

I’m on a wait and see basis right now..I’m watching this guy very closely from here on out.

  83. RBellBuc Says:

I think I’m becoming more and more Orlovskian … lol

  84. Buc1987 Says:

JoshFreeBucs …Are you for real? Seriously? Hey everyone this guy speaks like he actually is Josh. Maybe it is him.

  85. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“why in the hell, would I want to be somewhere where I’m not appreciated, where my coach don’t think that I’m a good QB,after he, (the coach) makes me change the way I play the game, know he don’t trust me as a QB ?? where only one of my teammates (Mike W) have the guts to stand up for me. and where the fans are to blind to see what is going on, and to realized that this is not a one man sport and it’s not up to me how it is played.”

    —–

Oh, I don’t know, maybe because you are a professional and this is a business. Maybe because that team traded up to get you. Maybe because that team has made you the face of the franchise, even though you did very little to deserve it. Maybe because they haven’t even threatened your job the entire time you’ve been here because they believed in you so much. Maybe because they have paid you an awful lot of money, even though you haven’t really produced equal to what you’ve made. Maybe because you have to actually earn the respect and trust of your teammates, fans, and coaches. Maybe if you passed on the Michael Jackson shoot (in the middle of a losing streak) instead of a team photo shoot, those things would happen. But nah, let’s blame everyone else. That seems fair.

  86. Buc1987 Says:

JoshFreeBucs…. I’m on this thread with you. I’m probably one of the BIGGEST Freeman supporters there is in the whole Tampa Bay area. Read my posts from the top and then come back with the nonsense that you just posted in here.

  87. RBellBuc Says:

Wow, uhh meh meh .. that ain’t Josh folks. Don’t take it so literally.

  88. Buc1987 Says:

Joe has an update on the main page about this…maybe we need to go there. New story about it. Thanks Joe.

  89. JoshFreeBucs Says:

Hey Joe, how could you look over your friend Mike Florio’s article regarding our players’only meeting?? he suggested it had to do with players questioning the “legitimacy” of the vote.. tallied by????? Mr Schiano. Of course Mr Schiano says that the story is 100% false.

How about instead of a QB change going into the bye, we go with a new HC…Sully! He and Josh wont be pushed around and micro-managed by Schiano..

And Sully’s a real motherfu(kin soldier! A West Point grad. Army Ranger. 2x Super Bowl Winner..

    SULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No not according to me, but don’t write as if you are. Go back and read your original post.

  92. Buc1987 Says:

JoshFreeBucs…I’m a regular on here and I’ve never seen your name before, suddenly you magically appear. Give me a break. I’m not saying you are him, but your making every excuse in the book for him and the photo shoot.

  93. Buc1987 Says:

JoshFreeBucs…and if you are him get the F to bed you have practice in the morning little boy.

  94. BigMacAttack Says:

Josh if that is you, you need to get fired up son, and get you head straight. This isn’t about you, it’s about the Bucs. Run the ball, get mean, kick somebody’s butt out there. We’re tired of screwing around and need to win big.

  95. Hawaiian Buc Says:

It’s not Josh guys, as much as I wish it was.

[As always, you may disagree with Clear Channel on-air personalities but getting personal is a no-no. You should know that better by now. If you cannot restrain yourself, Joe will do it for you… permanently. — Joe]

Josh doesn’t give a sh!t enough to post here. LOL, not his thing. I just hope he “shows up” enough to win this Sunday. 😉

  98. JoshFreeBucs Says:

BUCS1987 did I say I was JOSHFREEMAN ?? or did you assume that I was because of how I said what I said ??? look up the word asimile, any way it work becuse I got your att.
anf for all of you Josh haters, remember a coach we had by the name of Tony Dungy ?? a coach that some Bucs fans wanted to be replace becuase he couldn’t win a super bowl, well needless to remind you what happen next. and why ?? becuase some stupid fans couldn’t see that Dungy was building a long term winning team instead of a one time championship team, and here we go again, you all want Josh out of here, becuase he is not good. you all are to blind to see that it is not that Josh can’t play it is the way he have to play, my God please go back and look at youtube at Josh in 2010 and compare the way he plays know….
do you think he can’t scramble?? FYI he is not allowed, he has to be a pocket QB
another FYI !!! control freak coaches don’t like QB that will scramble, it take the control away from the coach. if you ever play any footbal HS or even pee wee you would now that.

another FYI pocket QB will not stand a chance in the NFL in a few years, reason ?? defense are getting to fast.
that is one of the reason why teams are getting players like RGIII, GENO SMITH, CAM NEWTON and so on. but yet we have one here with JOSH FREEMAN and you all want to get rid of him. wow wow wow
instead of bad mouthing Josh Freeman, go scream at the bad coach we have and demand that he put the power tryp to one side and let Josh Freeman play foogball so we can start winning some game !!!
Man I guess Philadelphia Eagles is not the only team with stupid fans after all.

  99. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

When you add up all the other “incidents”? You get nothing. Stuff happens. Stuff is blown out of proportion.

I really could care less about this non-story.

Just as I could care less that Freeman arrived late to his own football camp. Non-story. Stuff happens.

Is Freeman shooting guns at people? Is he popping adderal? Is he smoking weed? Is he drunk driving?

    No.

He’s run late a couple times. The really unforgivable sin. Please.

At this point I am sorely tempted to only read the front page of JBF and completely ignore the comments. I seem to always feel disgust after reading certain commenters.

  100. Eric Says:

The question is whether this is a big deal to the Rutgers lunatic, who likes to be involved in the room temperature

    I’m thinking yes.

  101. Oahubuc Says:

No, when you add it up, you get a pattern of behavior. The pattern is indicative of apathy and results in mediocrity, which is what we’ve seen. If I have an employee who behaves that way, I try to motivate them, and if that doesn’t work, I fire them or let their contract run out and give them an apple and a road map. For what he’s making, it’s a low value proposition. He should be fired or let walk, period.

  102. King Diamond Says:

Each time Jfro flakes out he is only hurting himself and his character judged by others across the nfl. His stock continues to crash regardless if he is a BUC next year. JFro pull your head out of your a** please.

  103. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Exactly what Oahubuc said. I swear some people would defend Josh Freeman if he went “Aaron Hernandez”. They would probably say that it wasn’t his fault, because his friends weren’t supporting him. What an absolute joke.

Is this something worthy of being cut over? Of course not. That’s stupid. Is this, along with all the other little things, worthy of finding your replacement ASAP (assuming the rumors are true), absolutely.

  104. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @JoshFreeBucs,

“and for all of you Josh haters, remember a coach we had by the name of Tony Dungy ?? a coach that some Bucs fans wanted to be replace because he couldn’t win a super bowl, well needless to remind you what happen next.”

    ———

I’m still trying to follow your logic. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t we win a little thing called the Super Bowl after we got rid of Dungy? Is that still considered a good thing? So by that logic if we get rid of Freeman, we will win the Super bowl (I’m just connecting the analogies here) right?

And as for checking youTube for Freeman in 2010, what if I check youTube for 2011 (which last I checked is more recent than 2010)? Same coach, same OC, MISERABLE results. Difference is, we actually played against teams with winning records in 2011. Teams figured out that he doesn’t go through his progressions, and they learned that he can’t handle the blitz. What’s your excuse for that? Who is to blame, because we all know Freeman isn’t to blame for anything according to you. How many more excuses are you going to come up with before you start handing some of the blame to Freeman? It’s the coaching, no it’s the line, no it’s the defense, no its the media, no its the fans, etc. etc. Enough is enough. Put up or shut up. I’m tired of waiting and hearing excuse after excuse (trust me, I’ve given my share of excuses for Freeman). And that does not make me a Freeman hater, just a realist. I hope he turns it all around and becomes an All-Pro. However, I have more and more doubt with each day.

  105. Capt. Tim Says:

    Dungy??!?
Dungy built a great team. Choked in playoffs every year- afraid to let offense win.
Went to Indy- who had greatest offense in league, with instructions to be “hands off “on Offense.
Otherwise- never would have won a playoff game. I was at his games here- great guy- did great things for the team
But scared of offense losing playoff games. So wouldn’t let them play. Million 3 and outs- horrible and frustrating to watch

  106. Eric Says:

Choking in the playoffs sounds good to me right now. Just like those 2005 and 2007 Division Titles followed by narrow losses.

And Dungy had playoff wins over the lions and skins, at home, which was exciting as hell to me. One lucky catch and a Bert drop away from the big show.

Now we’re choking in the preseason…..hell we never even get close to an opportunity to choke. We shoot ourselves in the foot beforehand with these outlandish coaching experiments ie rah and the lunatic from Rutgers. And of course promoting a nobody to GM and pretending he’s built a powerhouse.

  108. buc4lyfe Says:

how is it the team is a mess and we blame the quarterback? this dude gets blamed for the bucs issues. when everyone was saying the team quit on raheem morris they stood up for him said how much the team loved him but do you hear anyone talking about schiano that way? if you dont trust josh freeman why is he still the starting qb, have the balls to go with your guy. this guy is looking for a scapegoat. a college coach has brought the circus to town along with mrsa, yea he’s disiciplined but you cant control the thinking and actions of men. dominick and schiano have the issue…we’ve got 4 head coaches im sure one of them could right the ship…but one of them has to go because i want to see who really is the issue. freeman or schiano. he’s the head coach but only one person is taking the blame hmmm

  109. Oahubuc Says:

Why is this an either/or proposition regarding Schiano and Freeman? Both have their issues they brought with them from college. Since we’re talking about Freeman though, you have scouting reports, press, and film going back to college available to you. Let me know when you find something that doesn’t point to what’s going on with him right now.

  110. Capt. Tim Says:

Eric- exactly. Who else takes a huge, fast, moble Qb- who can throw accurately on the run!- and try’s to convert him into a pocket passer???

Good coaches fully utilize the talent they have. Bad coaches try to make people change, to fit their systems.

And worry more about getting plays right, than getting the temperature right

  111. Capt. Tim Says:

Yeah- I’d be happy with a playoff choke. Or a winning season, or even a team that doesn’t look like a circus fire drill .

Dungy may have struggled in the playoffs- but he dominated in the regular season

We don’t even look like a team now.
