Brady Busts Up Knee, Courtesy Of Adrian Clayborn

August 14th, 2013

Here’s the film-heard-round-the-NFL from Bucs practice today. It’s not Clayborn’s fault that the Pats couldn’t block him.

Joe will have much more later from practice in Foxborough.

  1. You Go Joe Says:

Good Job Clayborn! Just do that when it really counts in the regular season.

  2. Andrew 1 Says:

as long as Clayborn did not go low, which it appears he did not, then it was a perfectly legal play and Clayborn has nothing to apologize or feel guilty over. he should not blamed for Brady’s injury at all. thats just life in the NFL.

  3. Fritz50 Says:

Wonder if that’ll be the end of the joint practices. Thought they weren’t allowed to touch any of the QB’s.

  4. Teflon Don Says:

if brady is out for a significant amount of time Fans of the Jets, Fins, and Bills shoud sent AC gifts all year long.. been a tough season for the pats thus far

  5. Stranger Says:

He didn’t touch Brady, Solder was just manhandled.

  6. ShutTheBucUp Says:

A Buc got pressure on a QB? Why isn’t THAT the top story? 😉

  7. tonytwocents Says:

lol @ the “oh no” guy. I don’t wish injury on anyone (lie), but Im glad to see that groin injury isnt holding Clayborn down.

  8. gulfcoast Says:

Clayborn bull rushed Pats tackle into Brady. Not ACs fault…. shouldve blocked him.

  9. Gus Numbers Says:

I doubt this will be the end. It’s not like clay or anyone else on the bucs did anything malicious or wrong. This was a freak accident.

  10. Buc'n Junkie Says:

I hope a lot of team underestimate us this year. First of all, #1 priority is shutting down Drew Brees, and whipping their asses 41 – 0 in our home opener, would be absolutely gratifying. Then follow it with domination in Foxboro. Shut up all these critics that say we can’t, and never will beat the elite QB’s. We have elite QB’s up and down our schedule this year and we’re going to make them wish they never prematurely circled our game as an easy win. Go Bucs!

  11. PRBucFan Says:

    test

  12. PRBucFan Says:

I’m going to try once more with these filters.. lol

  13. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Of course Clayborne did nothing wrong. However, according to the bucs realist, this is all the fault of Mark Dominik.

  14. PRBucFan Says:

Prince Brady is the bane of my existence…

  15. Macabee Says:

I will never again accuse any poster at JBF of being over the top. You should read some of the posts of Pats fans and view some of the texts that are being sent to Clayborn. See Jenna Laine to get an idea!

  16. PRBucFan Says:

Pretty Boy Brady is the bane of my existence…

Having said that I would never wish anything ill upon him,
Hope he gets well soon so that we can shut him down when we face the Patsies.

  17. Andrew 1 Says:

my comment that didnt go through said that Clayborn should not feel guilty or be held responsible for Brad’s injury because he did NOT hit him low. if anything in the video it looks like one of the pats offensive lineman was blocked into Brady causing him to go down. Clayborn is in the free and clear. thats just life in the NFL.

  18. PRBucFan Says:

The Patsies QB is the bane of my existence,

Having said that I would never wish anything ill upon him,
Hope he gets well soon so that we can shut his pretty boy face down when we face them.

  19. Andrew 1 Says:

wtf both of my posts did not go through.

  20. PRBucFan Says:

Apparently the filter would allow his last name? lol

  21. Solaire of Astora Says:

Don’t want to be “that guy” but the AFC east might accually be exciting this year.

  22. PRBucFan Says:

    would not*

  23. Adam Says:

I guess it’s safe to say that Claiborne looks healthy.

  24. Andrew 1 Says:

    @ PRBucFan

lol I think you may be right.

  25. Mike J Says:

    Nice bull-rush.

  26. PRBucFan Says:

Weird huh? LoL Apparently the filters can’t stand him either 😛

  27. tonytwocents Says:

Im hearing he got back up and was in there for a few more plays. It was probably an impulse for him to pull a soccer move and drop and cringe, trying to draw a penalty.

Oh well, no worries… we WILL break that leg… if not this Friday, then in week 3….don’t worry..we’ll get him.

  28. Buc1987 Says:

Go Clayborn go Clayborn it’s your birthday

  29. Buc1987 Says:

I’m with you Junkie. I’m with you.

  30. Sneedy16 Says:

Patriots fans are ridiculous. You have to see the Tweets. Threatening AC claiming he did it on purpose.

  31. tonytwocents Says:

nice show Joes, on 620. I personally wish that 620 would hire Palowski and de-throne the “Dean”.

anyways, it looks like you guys are split on when to play Revis. But I gotta side with Joe on this one. I mean Joe made a good point and all, but I still disagree. Joe’s right.

Let the man play! ease him there slowly like when – nevermind. Let him play!

  32. Steve from Oregon Says:

If you look closely, Claiborne never lays a hand on Brady, but he pushes the tackle directly into him.

  33. Macabee Says:

    Latest on Tom”s knee injury!

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 19m
MRI on Patriots QB Tom Brady’s knee was negative and he now is considered day to day, per ESPN source with knowledge of injury.

  34. Buc1987 Says:

@ Sneedy16…that’s okay. Let them whine all they want. They’ll really be whining by mid season when the Pats are out of the playoff picture.

  35. Buc'n Junkie Says:

I don’t know if the won’t make the playoffs, I mean, they are in the weakest division in football.

  36. MadMax Says:

    MRI exam came back negative.

  37. Buc'n Junkie Says:

Brady’s not playing Friday?. That’s to bad, I really wanted to see how our #1’s stack up against him. To see if he could surgically pick our defense apart using a bunch of unknown receivers.

  38. Greg Says:

Very low class for Joe to boast this title of the story. I believe it is supposed to be no contact at the practice and I love that Claiborne was getting pressure its cowardly to sound like were cheering for injuries when the patriots are giving us this practice as a courtesy. From a football stand point we want Brady to be healthy to go against the Falcons, Saints, and Panthers don’t we?

This message was COURTESY of a real Bucs fan!

  39. Buc'n Junkie Says:

TomBrady’s not playing Friday?. That’s to bad, I really wanted to see how our #1’s stack up against him. To see if he could surgically pick our defense apart using a bunch of unknown receivers.

  40. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    It’s a knee sprain.

But some of the comments made hear disgust me.

  41. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    “here” – tablet issues

  42. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Hmmn,.they could end up starting Tebow this week….

  43. Buc1987 Says:

The Pats will not carry 3 QB’s going into the season. Tebow will be cut soon. Sorry Gators fans.

  44. PRBucFan Says:

I’m not a gator fan but I would bet he doesn’t get cut. 😀

  45. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I was thinking friday. But then I’m a bulls fan

  46. Buc1987 Says:

Bonzai I sure hope not. If Tebow starts the Bucs can’t take anything from that game on defense. How does one gauge how good the D really is with Teblow @ QB? Maybe see how good the pass rush is I guess or the run D. Either way I think your right. I don’t see TB starting at all now and that sucks.

  47. PRBucFan Says:

And I see some posters figured ways to get his last name past the filter.

Macabee with the ‘s at the end and Junkies initial try didn’t show up at first than he combined his name jeje.

  48. Buc1987 Says:

PRBucFan …well will see about that soon won’t we. I think they will save the spot for somewhere else. I think Belichick and gang will see that he can’t be fixed.

  49. Buc1987 Says:

The fact that he sucks in the NFL kind of makes me feel better. Since I’m a Noles fan. Seeing Ponder doing an okay job and Manuel being touted as the possible starter in Buffalo. Actually when was the last great Gator QB to have success in the NFL? Bradley Johnson was a Nole. Had to type Bradley cause I know those damn filters don’t even take that first name. I’ve tried before.

  50. PRBucFan Says:

I don’t think they intend on fixing him.

    1. His name on their jerseys = Money for them
    2. If they use him it will probably be with a package specific to his skill set, maybe even out of a different position.

Just my theory as to why he will make that roster. Maybe I am wrong, maybe not 🙂

  51. Drew Says:

    Breydee

  52. Drew Says:

Lmao… Only limited by lack of creation.

  53. Buc1987 Says:

Joe really with these filters already? C’mon really? It’s like that huh?

  54. Drew Says:

    The filter king ^^^

  55. PRBucFan Says:

“The Patsies QB” was fine for me 😉

  56. Buc1987 Says:

PrBucfan really you really think that many Pat’s fans are going to buy Tebow jersey’s? Have you been drinking again?

  57. Buc1987 Says:

The fact that he sucks in the NFL kind of makes me feel better. Since I’m a Noles fan. Seeing Ponder doing an okay job and Manuel being touted as the possible starter in Buffalo. How many great Gator QB’s ever really did anything in the NFL? BJ our SB QB was a Nole. I’ve tried to put his first name down with that one too. It doesn’t work.

I think Tebow needs to go to Canada, like Flutie did.

  58. PRBucFan Says:

Nah sorry jeje I don’t drink, and Tebow’s jersey where ever he’s been has been one of the most sold and sought after in the NFL since he’s been in the league.

So yes I would think so, I thought that common knowledge.

But this is the last thing I wanna debate about so we’ll just agree to disagree before this goes any further jajaja. 🙂

  59. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Wouldn’t it be something if Teebow’ somehow managed to do well and earn a spot, then did so well that he replaces Brady like Tom did to Bledsoe.

All those teams that passed on the kid. Personally, I’m no fan but after all the attacks on him, I’m rooting for him.

  60. Buc1987 Says:

LOL PRBucfan… I just saw a T-shirt on e-bay with Tebows face on it in the middle. At the top of it, it says Bench on the bottom it says Breydee. Only the unfiltered name on the bottom. No lie. I was LMFAO when I saw it.

  61. PRBucFan Says:

    Lol funny stuff.

  62. Buc'n Junkie Says:

    Thats funny 87 …. like that’ll ever happen! ….lol

  63. delson Says:

Tebow time!!! Now the pats will de-de-de-definitely win the afc and the superbowl!

  64. Solaire of Astora Says:

The sad part about “him” is that if any team “he” is on has a winning record even if “he” had a starling like 7tds to 17 ints people would still said he was a good qb.
