The Revis Breaking Ball

April 23rd, 2013

Look who tossed out the first pitch at last night’s Yankees-Rays game at Tropicana Field. Not the most manly delivery from Darrelle Revis, but a breaking ball over the plate nonetheless. Video via YES Network.

Just get it over the plate. Otherwise it’s embarrassing lol

  2. Max Says:

He has not looked happy at all since coming to Tampa. I think he might be pissed about the no guaranteed money. That really made no sense.

  3. Meh Says:

    Hasn’t looked happy? hahaha

He did everything he could to get here, and has said nothing but great things since he’s been here. Don’t be ridiculous.

  4. Gus Says:

@max if you are judging by his facial expression you have no clue what it’s for. He could have just found out that the car he wanted was just sold or the house he wanted had bugs in it. What I’m saying is dont read into it he is 16 million dollars richer trust me he is pleased

  5. Back up kicker Says:

    Max,
32 million first 2 years of the contract, which he will see for sure. Think he was on the books for 6 million this year if he stayed in NY. I’m sure he’s pissed. If you want someone with a goofy grin on his face, running around playing grab ass, then maybe the best cover CB in football is your type of guy. I’m freaking stoked!

  6. bucfanjeff Says:

Is there any Revis trade news yet?

  7. Joc Says:

    He throws like a girl

  8. DallasBuc Says:

He doesn’t get paid to throw baseballs. I’m just glad he is suiting up for the good guys this year!!

  9. kansasBuc Says:

    Bucfan
You know we have Revis now right? He had his press conference yesterday. It’s on Buccaneers.com

  10. MadMax Says:

He looks happy to me. I know I would be…he’s landing big money and is on a very potential playoff team.

  11. Madder Max Says:

Revis Facts: Owns a home in FL already, Reuniting with two of his favorite College coaches, Now the highest paid DB in the league, Escaped a sinking circus for a young & upcoming team.

So Max you are right he’s miserable; OR maybe he’s just a reserved serious dude who isn’t very smiley. Nah, I’m sure your theory makes more sense!

  12. Youpeoplearesodumb Says:

@Bucfanjeff – i got it but apparently kansabuc did not.

  13. Sneedy16 Says:

Honestly I think he was just focused. I’m sure he didn’t want to throw a bad pitch.

  14. Christopher Says:

LOVE the “not the most manly” comment—sure, bud, you want him to really sink into that, & deliver a strike? & then he might be ready by week 7 because he tweaked his knee? The stupidity of some people…

  15. Joe Says:

    Max:

He has not looked happy at all since coming to Tampa.

On camera, Revis is very composed, very reserved, almost sleep-inducing. Should have seen him in the media workroom yesterday. Trust Joe, he is giddy!

By the way, that “girlie” pitch was a beautiful changeup.

gotta protect the knee. you don’t want to be unable to impress people on the football field because you were trying to impress people on a pitcher’s mound
