Bucs Want You To Know They’re Hunting Revis

April 9th, 2013

It could easily qualify as tampering if Bucs staff talked publicly about potentially trading for Darrelle Revis, as Revis is under contract with the Jets. But that doesn’t mean the Bucs can’t find a way to get direct messages to fans via their official website.

Buccaneers.com occasionally will link to NFL Network video that features a Bucs topic. The team hardly links to everything, so Joe must assume that Bucs communications staff picks and chooses based on the messages they want fans to receive.

Therefore, Joe finds it interesting that the Bucs have linked to NFL Network video titled, “Tampa Bay Buccaneers still in for Darrelle Revis.” The link is prominent on the Buccaneers.com home page.

Perhaps this ties into the Keep Calm campaign on the team Facebook page.

Sure let’s give Revis a “MILLION PER GAME” but for every touchdown he gives up he has to give a million back. ….that’s fair …right?

  2. 4everBucsFan Says:

Let’s face it if Revis wants to be paid a Mount Olympus salary then he should back it up and play like a demi-god. Giving up any TD passes would be unacceptable in my book. … If his stats are anywhere close to other corners stats at the end of the year, I would cut his ass. You want Superman money, then play like Superman. Anything else would be unacceptable.

    Can anyone say Albert Haynesworth?

    feel better now?

so by your theory, drew brees, etc should give back $1 million for throwing an interception. never gonna happen.

you just like to complain, huh?

Not 100% sure but I believe that any videos involving the Bucs that go up on NFL.com go up on the Buccaneers website

Dont do it we will be in cap hell, and wont be able to fix D line, he seems like good idea but is fools gold

I think it’s safe to say that the Bucs, despite their GLARING inefficiencies at CB, are not busting their humps to fix the problem anywhere outside of the draft. And you know what? I’m fine with that….

….because the team’s pass-D won’t improve, more and more people will stay away from the stadium and the Glazers will get sick of trying put nails in a board with a screwdriver with a GM who is obviously A) not that bright, B) has no eye for talent, and C) doesn’t have the common sense to address the problems his team has face-first.

All he had to do was draft Mo Claiborne last year and this is a COMPLETELY different team. The Bucs could have gotten Barron’s numbers from ANYWHERE in free agency. I’ve said it a 1000 times on this very forum: If Barron is anything less than Ed Reed or Ronnie Lott, the pick was a REACH.

Buccaneers.com always has links to stories about them. It’s nothing ne and not really a hint.

whatever adam. just another wannabe poseur acting like he has nfl knowledge. useless.

  9. stevek Says:

Give Barron a chance. To his credit, he had another rookie FS next to him (Barber), and a sh!tty group of CBs.

Give Mark Barron a chance. He plays hard, and I expect him to play much faster this year. He and Goldson are going to thump fools. We just need Revis to lock down one side of the field.

In the past I viewed the Glazers as very good owners, Continue and leave the football to those you put in charge. Regarding Baron: remember if they don’t move down, they don’t make the moves that provided a good running back and WSS.
@4everbucsfan. your comment about haynesworth is right on target.

“wannabe poseur” is redundant, you ignorant hick.
