A Hearty Thank You

March 21st, 2013

A word of appreciation here for the stunning traffic heights JoeBucsFan.com has now reached. Thank you!

Joe could hit 600,000 actual visits to JoeBucsFan.com for the month of March, which would set a new monthly record. And there’s a great shot those 600,000 visits will come from more than 100,000 unique visitors, also a new record.

It’s becoming increasingly clear to Joe that these here pages have become the No. 1 source for serious Bucs fans, and for those that prefer a little edge to their news and commentary. And who doesn’t?

Joe promises to keep the train rolling. Fun and unique draft-related material is on the way, as are a couple of new wrinkles for football season, and a new media partnership.

Thanks again.

Hopefully new media partnership means less advertisements clogging the page.

    Content good, flashy “CLICK-ME’s” bad.

  2. Joe Says:

@Jrock – “Flashy click-me’s” allow Joe to work tirelessly on the content. Ads are pretty easily ignored if they bug you.

  3. Kennedy Says:

I don’t go anywhere else for Bucs stuff at this point unless I find something after I click through from here.

  4. Big Rob Says:

Congrats to you guys, and thanks for being my primary sports for Bucs news! This site is fantastic and I tell everyone I know about it.

    Joe,

Just want to thank you for running a great site with such insightful commentary. As a Bucs fan living in California, this is my first stop for all Bucs related news. I don’t always agree with your opinions, but I love hearing your perspective and take on all things Bucs. Keep up the good work!

  6. Nick B Says:

    Joe,

Thanks for the site. Use to always go on Pewter Report but since finding your site i have been going there a lot less. Keep up the great work

  9. Andrew 1 Says:

    congratulations Joe.

  10. SeanyMac in SC Says:

    Joe,

You are first source of all news Bucs. Your insight and atttitude are great. I also check some of the “other” Bucs fans sites (no need to give them a free plug on your site), but you are always one step ahead of them. I have to admit that the comments are just as “entertaining” at times. Thanks for giving all us Bucs fans the space to speak our minds and share our thoughts. Feed me more.

  11. OAR Says:

THANK YOU Joes, for putting together the finest/best Bucs blog/website anywhere on the web! Your site is the first stop, when surfing, and definately the only one for my Bucs info. I have been coming here since 2008 and I’m sure for many more! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the great site Joe. It is hard sometimes being a Buccaneers fan because the team gets little to no love from the national media, but thankfully I can always get my Bucs fix here!

Just reading your comments gets Joe fired up to work harder.

Joe has a Revis update coming in a handful of minutes.

  24. ShutTheBucUp Says:

Check the site everyday. Definitely the only place to go for all things Bucs. Plus your writing style and humor literally make me laugh out loud at times. Thanks for all of your hard work!

  25. Westcoastbucsfans Says:

I have to say, I started following the Bucs obsessively the year Gruden was fired and (living on the west coast) the most informational site I found was Pewter Report. (Did not know about JBF at the time). I read all the free articles for a few weeks then bought a subscription (at the time it was a real magazine sent to your house). I soon became VERY bored with their incredibly dry and drawn out articles.

I never commented there but noticed people talking about Joebucsfan.com and seeing moderators jump on there to remove the comments and issue warnings to users about mentioning “other fan sites” in the comment section. I came over to JBF and was *instantly* hooked.

JBF offers quick and relevant Bucs news all while be very entertaining to read. (Sans the mention of Shaun King leading the Bucs to championship every time he is quoted).

Joe, you have an incredible thing going here that I haven’t seen *anywhere* before. I follow the 49ers and Raiders (have a lot of 49er/Raider friends) and there is no
equivalent fan site for these other teams. I almost feel sorry that they miss out.

All this to say thanks Joe an congrats on your record numbers!

  26. Max Says:

Been here on JBF since chucky left. As always keep those articles coming Joe(s) and Great Job!

  27. bucs911 Says:

    Thanks Joe, great job

  28. bucfanjeff Says:

Any Android app in the VERY VERY VERY near future?

    …and thanks for your work.

  29. Joe Says:

Any Android app in the VERY VERY VERY near future?:

    Jeff:

This is something “the Joes” have discussed for some time. Can’t promise one soon but if we can pull something like this off that is not expensive, we may.

  30. Paul Says:

This one and bucsnation are my 2 favorite. Thanks!

  31. SteveBucsFan Says:

Joe, Love the site. I probably hit your site at least 10 times a day from at least 3 different IPs.

Only problem i have is the re-direct to MySpace. That drives me nuts. I almost quit coming to the site because of it and still plan to stop if it keeps happening. I’m fine with you getting all the advertisement dollars you can but please dont re-direct me.

  32. bucfanjeff Says:

Start here for some ideas, Joe. No I don’t work for them, but do use some of their apps. Maybe you find good info as a starting point.

  33. WestCoastBucsFan Says:

As far as an Android app is concerned, you can get all Bucs news (including JBF) to your phone. I use Pulse news which is a really nice app. With the only problem being that you have to first add the feed to Google Reader then import it to Pulse. Once that is done though, you get all of Joes article right on your phone as soon as they are released. Taptu is another good one if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of Pulse.

I can comment right through the Pulse app as well. I have been doing this for years and view Joe’s articles almost exclusively through my phone.

  34. Brad Says:

Pound sand. I come here less and less being you copy most things from PFT. Not to mention blocking my blogs when people gave said 10 times worst things and r still on here!

More lies, Brad. … Readers are always blocked or their comments are deleted when they lie about Joe, misrepresent Joe, personally insult Joe, or become such a pain in the butt for repeated shenanigans that Joe is forced to babysit their comments. –Joe

  35. WestCoastBucsFan Says:

    @Brad

Joe doesn’t “copy” anything from anywhere. He uses excerpts and quotes from other news sources. (As does PFT and most major publications by-the-way).

Why don’t you do everybody a favor and turn that “less and less” into “not at all”.

  36. Joe Says:

    SteveBucsFan:

Joe doesn’t have a re-direct to any site. If Joe did, it would go to one of his advertisers and MySpace is not an advertiser.

Try clearing your cookies on your computer Sounds like you got something that needs to be cleaned out on your hard drive.

  37. Big Rob Says:

    @WestCoastBucsFan

I personally use Feedly on my Android phone. Google reader is being shutdown on June 1st, and Feedly is working on a solution to keep your news feeds from Google Reader going.

  38. Joe Says:

    Thanks for the advice Jeff.

  39. Cannuckbuc Says:

    Hey Joe
This is one of the few chances for me to tell you this is the best Buc site bar none! Joe as an avid reader I just want to say THANKS !

  40. Pruritis Ani Says:

Congrats Joe.. This is one of my few bookmarked spots everyday.. Serious football withdrawals.. I know it’s hard to dig up meaningful stories each and every day without being repetitive this time of the year.. Thanks for your hard work.
