Redskins 30, Bucs 3

August 29th, 2012

All the Bucs’ starters got the night off, as expected, but it was a rather putrid performance by their backups.

No. 3 QB Brett Ratliff deserves combat pay for the five sacks and overall beating he took. The Bucs had nothing in the ground game and the offensive line was darn ugly.

Thankfully, it didn’t count.

Joe will have much more through the night.

Based on today, none of our players are going to the Hall of Fame, but then again, neither am I. They were absolutely horrible and that’s the best thing I can say. Besides that they were bad. These people are not poorly paid, you know.

  2. MadMax Says:

Well, thats what game 4 of preseasons are all about…play them backups no matter what…then go watch the film and evaluate.
But I do think its safe to say Sean Baker got his name out there tonight. That kid is a ball hawk….just might have got himself a spot.

  3. BucFan20 Says:

I think Underwood became a Buccaneer. Sure hope so.

  4. Garv Says:

The offensive line play was quite simply the worst I’ve ever seen.

  5. Garv Says:

EVER at ANY level, the WORST!

  6. ElioT Says:

Why do we NEVER blow anyone off the line and why do we ALWAYS get blown off the line!!!

    Where is the physicality?

  7. MadMax Says:

I will say this: If Washington cuts Kirk Cousins, I think we should pick him up to replace Ratliff, heck he might even beat out Orlovsky.

  8. Eric Says:

Better not get injured, these people that played tonite were just awful. Except Underwood.

  9. Mr Lucky Says:

I can not believe that I actually watched the entire first half. I can sum up that game in one word:

    DISGUSTING!

Why do they even have a 4th pre-season game? This is an insult to all fans of the NFL. What I saw of the Bucs play made me want to puke!

  10. OAR Says:

Relax guys. It was the 4th pre-season game, exactly like MadMax said. The back-up Offensive line players were playing positions for the first time and more than half those players last night won’t even make the roster.
Dont get me wrong, it was horrible football to say the least, but not the end of the world.
Underwood played well again. Baker made some good plays, too. Ratliff shouldn’t even be in a football uniform.

  11. Bobby Says:

Oh c’mon!!! It was 90% people who aren’t going to make the team and we’re going to panick?? I can guarantee you the Bucs will be bringing in a lot of new faces Saturday. I knew the game was going to be ugly. You were surprised??

Did anyone else not see Adam Heyward? I saw Foster on the field but not Heyward. Could that mean Heyward starts?
