Svelte-Looking Penn Working On Conditioning

July 27th, 2012

Yeah, Donald Penn is out for at least a couple of weeks with a calf strain, yesterday’s bad news. But that doesn’t mean Penn is shoveling finger sandwiches while his teammates went through a 2 hour and 40 minute practice this morning at One Buc Palace.

A rather svelte-looking Penn, wearing a black t-shirt at times (not the best idea Donald), was stretching and running on the field with Bucs training staff through practice. He walked off the field with a mild limp.

Penn will never be able to pass the conditioning tests. They might as well cut him now, make an example of him.

When you treat grown men like Marine recruits they rebel. Now, there are 50-60 professional athletes looking at this coach like he’s an freaking idiot. I can only imagine their agents ringing Dom-Dom’s phone off the hook.

It was a real nice touch dumping Brian Price because he injured himself less than halfway through the sprints. Way to build team morale.

Donald Penn’s injury will hamper the OL for the rest of the season.

Nice way to open camp for the Little General and his staff.

I think its more likely that there are 50 or 60 ppl looking at you like you are a freaking idiot.

Wow Miguel, what incredible insight you have. I can’t imagine somebody better suited to coach a football team with you, considering you know everything about what it takes to bring a team together. It’s a simple conditioning test, you noob. It’s not about the Marine Corps, it’s about accountability, and if grown men that make millions of dollars to play, and try to win, professional footbal, can’t be accountable for their own conditioning, then Schiano should do whatever he feels is right. I don’t care who Schiano cuts, just as long as the product on the field is an improvement from last season’s undisciplined debacle.

As for Donald Penn, Joe, black is a slenderizing color, what color t-shirt would you ask him to wear? White with horizontal stripes?

I posted my opinion about Donald & his avoirdupois here months ago. I hope he keeps the poundage off & has a Pro Bowl year.

“Penn will never be able to pass the conditioning tests.”

Coach has said that those who are injured will have to pass the conditioning test, before they can start practicing. So, I’m guessing you don’t figure Penn will ever play for the Bucs again. Or that Coach, alternatively, has no integrity and will let Penn slid on a test everyone else passed. Or, just what did you mean, exactly?
