Crack The Whip

February 16th, 2012

Michigan football coach Brady Hoke is moonlighting working mornings on BSPN Radio and told his co-host Mike Greenberg he believes the Bucs will go defense with the first round pick.

One of the most overrated national morning sports radio shows (but not nearly as vapid as the “Dull Patrick Show”) happens to be hosted by Brady Hoke Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg of BSPN. Recently, the duo decided to take a break from slobbering over the non-basketball association to discuss football.

In a segment called “Two-a-Days,” they devoted some time to the Bucs. Joe’s got a hunch Hoke Golic and Greenberg didn’t read the new NFL CBA.

At any rate, Greenberg called the Bucs the “most disappointing team” of 2011 and Hoke Golic seems inclined to agree with Todd McShay that the Bucs will draft a cornerback with the No. 5 pick.

The entire BSPN segment can be heard by clicking this link.

Great Prediction … Too bad there is only one CB that is a top 10 talent that could go anywhere before us.

Screw needs … GO BPA whoever that is

I like “The Dull Patrick Show” Joe. You can slam that show, but if we think “the dean of Bay Area sports shows” [that’s because Joe has a contract with Clear Channel. As always, if you get personal about an on-air personality, your comment goes bye-bye. Sadly, people simply cannot disagree with on-air personalities without getting personal — Joe].

mork and mike in the morning is basically for kids. Its a dog and pony show, with fluff and whistles. No substance. For people that look to espn for answers.

Joe never thought of that but that’s a great analogy.

The guy who does music parodies on there has to be the least talented guy that I have ever heard in my entire life.

He must have Karl The Truth’s agent to stick around for so long.

  7. bucfanjeff Says:

I still think it’s Richardson. Regardless, it IS possible Claiborne is already picked.

Just what Joe wants to hear when he turns to sports radio. Song parodies.

Joe swears BSPN is the Sesame Street of sports programming.

  9. TampaRob Says:

and Todd McShay projects Javon Snead to be a 1st rounder. Credibility. That’s why I listen to BSPN. Not.

If Claiborne is there, it makes no sense to draft Richardson over him. It is easier to find a great RB than it is a great CB, especially with all the depth in this years RB class.

I DVR’ed yesterdays episode, how often are we the focus of discussion on a national show?

and I will never watch/listen to that show again. Im not a “Boycott this, Boycott that” kind-a-guy but that was just disrespectful.

First they went out of order (Redskins pick after Bucs yet they covered the skins first) for the first time all week. Then they push us to a “fit it in before the show is over” slot???? I fast forwarded through 3.5 hours of Linsanity and Irsay Tweet-Talk for that?

If you dont care about my Bucs I dont care about you! Unless you saw the whole show you may think Im being over the top – but TRUST – the boycott is justified.
You’re only going to talk about the Bucs once in a blue moon and all you do is talk about what Kiper and Mcshay think? So you guys have espn insider GREAT – now how about some insight? No your right lets just bang it out at the end of the show if theres time

I never considered these guys Xs & Os guys anyway but yesterday was it for me.

I listen to ESPN because…….well……what other sports network is there?! NFL Network, but my cable company doesn’t even carry it, same with many companies. There’s Fox Sports, but that’s not better than ESPN.
