Panthers 48, Bucs 17

December 24th, 2011

Same story. Different blowout.

Thanks for the lump of coal in the ol’ stocking, Bucs.

Today’s ugly show in Carolina featured another slow start by the Bucs, co-starring laughable defense, stupid and harmful penalties, shameful turnovers (FOUR!), and another round of debate on whether the Bucs have quit on Raheem Morris.

(Let’s have a moment of silence for the Bucs employees that have to sell tickets next week.)

Joe commends his readers that watched this entire debacle. What’s the point spread going to be in Atlanta next week? Bucs +39? Joe wouldn’t touch it.

Joe almost hopes the Bucs have quit on Raheem, because if they’re breaking their butts but getting blown out in four consecutive weeks, then all of Bucs nation is in a heap of trouble for 2012.

Remember, the Panthers are not a great team.

Joe suspects there will be no vote of confidence for Raheem coming from One Buc Palace this week. One might think Team Glazer’s decision on Raheem’s future would be easy and clear, but nothing would surprise Joe.

Yeah, yeah, Joe knows the Bucs missed those precious OTAs this offseason. Joe swears,  the next time he hears that weak excuse/explanation for the Bucs’ nine-game losing streak he’s going to vomit.

  3. Thomas 2.2 Says:

JB just said that rah rah’s bucs lost their ninth “non-competitive” game in a row. LOL lets not be hasty and get rid of the coach. LMFAO

  4. Thomas 2.2 Says:

Arent the Panthers young and didnt they miss OTAs also?

  5. Pruritis Ani Says:

Joe….It was a lump of something but it wasnt coal.

  6. BajaAlabama Says:

…hell they could coach this team better than the current regime…

  7. BucfaninMI Says:

Do you think T Jack would hook us up? Thats the only way I can stomach this!

  8. Mark Says:

All I want for Christmas is for RAH RAH to be YUN-EMPLOYED!!!!!

Come on Glazerhouse boys give the Tampa Bay area a Christmas Present tonight. Bring us a REAL HEAD COACH, A REAL COACHING STAFF & REAL NFL PLAYERS.

  9. TurnThePage Says:

Build through the draft… As is no other team drafts players each season.

No OTAs hurt us… As if the rest of the league DID have OTAs.

At this point, I want Raheem gone JUST BECAUSE of the apologists.

  10. holymoly Says:

That’s it . i’m gonna get drunk . That was terrible , did any of these guys ever learn how to tackle ? I agree , fire rah and let us enjoy Christmas .

  11. bucfanjeff Says:

I think TJax only wants to tackle when he’s high. His play has been horrible.

  12. thibs5599 Says:

Hey at least we got to see ahmad black in there woooooo lol. Peace Raheem even before today started somehow i started thinking maybe we win these last two games we fire everyone else but RAH. not anymore the man has to go he just looked sad on the sidelines, the only player i saw with fire today was freeman who was getting clobbered or throwing to unopened WR.

  13. Bucnnole Says:

We all should all stop commenting on how unbelievably crappy this team is and enjoy family and friends . This by far the worst regime I have witnessed and I started watching this team in 79′ as a five year old. For Christmas we WILL get a new coach and hopfully a new GM. Merry Christmas to all my faithful Bucs breathern out there and let’s all relish that a change is soon to come.

  14. TurnThePage Says:

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas everybody. Don’t feel so bad about Raheem having to take a demotion on another team… That’s what coaching in football is all about.

And Thomas, you were right ALL ALONG buddy! Merry Christmas to you good sir! I have 10 times more respect for you than the Raheem nut huggers.

  15. Adam Says:

Four more quarters of Raheem. Hang in there Bucs fans.

  16. Meh Says:

    Terrible. Pathetic. Embarrassing. Awful. Pitiful.

  17. eric Says:

i cant recall a more complete colapse.

    mindnumbingly atrocious.

    merry christmas to all.

  18. Thomas 2.2. Says:

Merry XMas turnthepage and all JBFers. Worst year in buc history must mean rock bottom, unless of course they retain the disaster!

  19. eric Says:

if they retain they either are broke, on drugs, or the dumbest mofos ever.

  20. Truebuc Says:

Come on Glazers, give us all a christmas gift and get this trainwreck out of here. he has ruined a long era of great buccaneer defense. piss poor tackling every time they are on the field. Missing easy interceptions. i dont know what the future is of this organization is…. Morris claiborne!

Merry christmas JBfan, best buc site on the web.

  21. Niko (The Optimist) Says:

The Optimist would like to officially apologize for last weeks column. I’m kidding, to some degree. For those of you who think that firing Raheem will solve everything, your in for a big surprise.

But I cannot any longer support Raheem Morris to come back next year as Head Coach. I assumed that the second half upswing in the Cowboys game would continue, and the Bucs would play respectable in the last two weeks and maybe even win one. I honestly do believe Raheem Morris is/would have been a very good coach, he has been in the past. But the Glazers have totally set him up and possibly ruined his whole career, because no matter what, no one wants to hear it any more.

This is an embarrassment of epic proportions. I was 14 when I started following the Bucs in 1979, and I promise you, it has never been worse than this. TWO, not one, TWO times the Bucs have allowed a team to hang 48 points on us. The defense was so lame today, so pathetic, you can’t tell me that losing two people to injury would cause that! There was no tackling on defense at all! And Raheem Morris is the defensive coordinator. Now I know Belechick’s defense is dead last too, but the hoodie has proven he can coach. Raheem hasn’t proven anything, and right now, I have ZERO confidence that Raheem can coach this team next year.

Ultimately, I don’t want to hear about all the hate for Raheem, we need to smarted up as a fan base, and realize who the true devil is in these matters, and that is the Glazers.

The gig is up for them if they don’t spend some money March 1st, or whenever Free Agency starts. There is no excuse for them not to spend some money on Free Agents to help this team grow up in a hurry. And it would seem mixing the youngest team with the youngest coach was a mistake. A little more experience would be nice for the next guy. But make no mistake, don’t blame Dominik, he was just following orders. The Glazers have the biggest blame in all of this, but without a doubt, Raheem Morris cannot be put in charge of the 2012 Bucs.

  22. Architek Says:

Yaaaaay, top five pick and new HC.

  23. TurnThePage Says:

Raheem is young… no way is his career ruined.

On the other hand, I do believe that Raheem ruined some of these footbal players careers… mainly because a players career is so short and their window is so narrow.

  24. jeb Says:

Sounds like the bucs radio network and 620 took Justin off the postgame call in show after he told the screener to let all the calls in. They are playing fox sports radio now. If im not mistaken, the show usually goes to 6pm.

  25. Oahubuc Says:

I switched to another game, for about the fifth time this season. I have sat through some ugly, ugly games to the bitter end on TV, at the Sombrero and at Raymond James. This year is the ugliest.

  26. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I go to 2 Bucs game per year, and next week is my second of this season. I have never been less excited about going to a game. We would have to improve tremendously to even be horrible. I wish there was some way I could spin this season into anything positive, but I simply can’t.

  27. upthegut Says:

If I have to look at that smiling imbecile face one more week I will puke. Raheem, you
are pathetic. You are a disgrace to your profession, the team, the NFL, this community and your family. Man up Raheem, get before the cameras and say, “I am not qualified to be part of this team, I should not have accepted this promotion. I have let down my team and the community. I apologize to the team and to Tampa Bay. I have caused 3 years of frustration and angst. For the good of all concerned……….I’m out of here”!

  28. Michael Says:

When’s the last time we had this big of a land slide? 1977?

  29. chiodo08 Says:

Congrats 2.2 on finding a way for saying what I have been trying all year…the glazers were very shrewd to buy up the so called “journalism” that hasn’t done bucs fans any favors other than label all of us “stupid”, “we don’t. Know football” or by some “not real fans? For having the audacity to point out the elephant in the room
