  1. Jim Says:

Nice way to kick off the thread Joe.
Jaime is hot and ready for the BUCS to kick butt.

  2. k_bassuka Says:

    Yeah, we aint ready yet.

  3. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Great way to open the game. No offense and a porous defense. This better improve.

  4. Pete Dutcher Says:

Pats scored. This will be a good sampling of the defensive line. I said before they would struggle at first…they are right now.

  5. k_bassuka Says:

The offense didn’t do thay great neither

  6. Jared Says:

Brady is a beast period. But if you still look at it, the def line was getting nice penetration and they were in position on that long woodhead run. He just had a realllllllly nice cutback

  7. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Defensive line isn’t struggling with clogging lanes, but they did over pursue on that long Woodhead run.

  8. Joe Says:

Mason Foster got roasted on the touchdown pass.

  9. k_bassuka Says:

This is gonna get ugly in a hurry

  10. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Wow, our o-line is getting beat pretty bad so far.

  11. Jared Says:

    Joe,

Wonder if Rah is second guessing Foster in coverage. Might be too early

  12. k_bassuka Says:

How many plays before the next NE TD?

  13. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Our whole offense looks befuddled, like they don’t know what hit them.

  14. Joe Says:

Hey Mason, you are now in Roger Goodell’s league. You are not allowed to hit hard in the NFL.

  15. Thomas 2.2 Says:

Things sure do change quickly in a week.

  16. k_bassuka Says:

Not in a week, more like when we play a good team

  17. Thomas 2.2 Says:

Bellichick planned to test Foster, uh oh!

  18. FLBoyInDallas Says:

2.2: no they don’t. You’re not allowed to post comments pretending that preseason games matter, because you’re on record numerous times saying they’re absolutely meaningless. So shut up.

  19. k_bassuka Says:

    We in trouble. LOL

  20. k_bassuka Says:

    Them 2 series 110 yrds

  21. Thomas 2.2 Says:

    Anyone seen McCoy?

  22. Thomas 2.2 Says:

I agree that they don’t matter to most teams. However, after last week you and others were acting as if the game was evidence of something meaningful. So, what is up now?

  23. Hector Says:

Man, Bucs D in trouble! no pressure, open running lanes ect.. (remember pats have one of the top 5 o-lines in the NFL) O in trouble too!!

  24. admin Says:

    Joe here,

Crowd looks better than Detroit game last year, but plenty of empty seats.

  25. the_buc_realist Says:

don’t worry, we will be good 3 years from now, and the good thing is all the money the team will have for not spending much this year,,,,

don’t forget to buy your tickets!!!

  26. FLBoyInDallas Says:

They are evidence of something meaningful: we’re better than the Chiefs but not yet in the class of the Patriots. Pretty simple, actually, and not much of a surprise since the Pats are the model franchise in the NFL.

  27. BecklesHeartsRuud Says:

    Clayborn is looking good.

Foster got robbed. His penalty was b.s. Brilliant play on the reciever.

  28. Dan Says:

so much for graham picking up blockers

  29. Thomas 2.2 Says:

Boy your tune has changed, nothing like a nice dose of reality!

  30. Hector Says:

This Patriots D looks like its playing a game of madden!!!

  31. Joe Says:

Bucs look like they just woke up from an afternoon nap.

  32. PamMap Says:

Can someone Tweet Score Please? Can’t Watch or Listen…Thanks!

  33. k_bassuka Says:

Very unimpressive start, time to get wasted!

  34. Thomas 2.2 Says:

Maybe our rookie fa backups can accomplish something.

  35. ScottB Says:

Pats annoucers saying the Bucs should punt on 3rd down. Bucs may not win 4 games this year.

  36. Hector Says:

Anyone See Donald Penn getting pushed around like a little kid!! lol that was to funny!

  37. BecklesHeartsRuud Says:

Donald Penn was literally blocking with his ass. Not looking very pro-bowl.

  38. Joe Says:

Merlot Joe Maddon is on the Bucs sideline. Derek Shelton must be nearby the way the offense is struggling.

  39. Raqdoll Says:

highest paid o-line in the league, not sure they’re earning it right now…

  40. k_bassuka Says:

Well, this could be a year in which the team show some regress from last year. Specially since we decided no to sign any FA worth a penny.

  41. Joe Says:

Clayborn is getting owned this series.

  42. k_bassuka Says:

Damn even the backup QB killing us

  43. Hector Says:

Man woodhead is just finding those cut back lanes!

  44. ScottB Says:

    Joe

Are you watching the game on your computer like all of us?

  45. FLBoyInDallas Says:

I do like the way McCoy is looking. That’s one positive thus far.

  46. Hector Says:

ARG!! Black missed his gap!!! come on man. damn mccoy off sides???

  47. Hector Says:

Raheem, i root for you, but come on man!!!!!! where is your defensive planning? Pats are having their way with the bucs D.

  48. BigD Says:

My gosh this team looks horrible. As much as I hate to admit it we could use Rudd for a few weeks while our MLB gets a clue.

  49. Hector Says:

21 nothing, in a game of madden thats game over, double the money on the bet that was placed. smdh!!

  50. FLBoyInDallas Says:

21-0 in the first quarter? This is an unqualified ass-whipping so far.

  51. BigD Says:

Fans….what fans we don’t need no stinking fans.

Looks like we are on track for black out for some time. Great job Raheem / Dominic.

  52. Joe Says:

    ScottB:

    No.

  53. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Good thing they don’t count. We’ll know where we really stand after the Lions game. I’ll reserve judgment till then.

  54. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Our vaunted offensive line sure is looking like sh-t tonight.

  55. k_bassuka Says:

Just put in the backups before someone gets hurt

  56. ryan Says:

    this should sell some tickets

  57. the_buc_realist Says:

    Good answer Joe,

rule 1, never talk about fight club!

  58. BigD Says:

Think I will watch the cheerleader picture. It’s far more interesting than game.

  59. FLBoyInDallas Says:

I agree. Put in the backups and at least let this game count for something in getting a look at our depth. The starters, except Freeman & McCoy should all be ashamed of themselves for such a display of ineptitude. Damn.

  60. k_bassuka Says:

Why sign a FA OL to compete with our guys when we can get Trueblood

  61. Dan Says:

    adrian hit Brady, thats nice!

  62. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Let me add Clayborn. He’s looked good, too, except for a couple plays.

Trueblood’s the only o-lineman holding his own on most plays. Go figure.

  63. Hector Says:

ok, at least they got a clean hit on Brady.

  64. k_bassuka Says:

Holly SH-T I can’t believe it we made them punt

  65. ryan Says:

ok offense, lets get some first downs and end on a positive

  66. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Okay, dammit!!! Finally a good defensive series. Something to hang my hat on for this disappointing game.

  67. Joe Says:

Well, three plays in a row that the Bucs made Brady sweat and look at what happens: Punt. First it was Clayborn, then GMC and on third down, Bennett.

  68. Joe Says:

    Pats player getting carted off.

  69. FLBoyInDallas Says:

McCoy has stepped up as Raheem said he would. Great job so far. And against an excellent Pats o-line. Things are looking up. Clayborn looking good, too.

Now if Bowers would just do something on his snaps. Nada from him so far.

  70. EternalBucs Says:

So… J. Faine was the one that didn’t partecipate in most of the team activities organized by Freeman, right? Well, Mr. Faine is getting OWNED. What an embarassement.

  71. BigD Says:

Where is the push by our offensive line. New England is not this good.

  72. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Bye bye Malone. Nice knowin’ ya. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

  73. TOm Says:

    K2 dressed but hasn’t played yet…

  74. BigD Says:

Haven’t seen a shank like that since Tiger played a major….last week.

  75. BigD Says:

Let’s go defense let’s make it two good series in a row.

  76. big007hed Says:

    There goes that run defense…..

  77. Hector Says:

i’m surprised how well the game looks on my pc.

  78. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’m not watching the game yet, but I know one thing for certain: we are all going to hear at least 9 consecutive days of Thomas running his mouth. And I’d be willing to bet he will have some friends. Yes, the same Thomas who just earlier today said Preseason means nothing. I guess that only applies when we win.

  79. Kfc Says:

God i can hear thomas bi*ch tomorrow about this game

  80. ryan Says:

    a total embarrassment

  81. BigD Says:

After all these DL draft pics, we let them run right though our D. How disappointing. Hope we can improve in the next few weeks.

  82. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Man, just as the starting d-line starts playing well they put in the backups and they’re getting dominated again.

  83. Buzzsaw Says:

Hmmm, I guess Ruud wasn’t the problem after all.

  84. BigD Says:

If the Bucs are following the New England model for Free Agents / trades, I’m not sure it is really working.

  85. BigD Says:

That’s what every team strives for…more penalty yards than offense yards. Go Bucs.

  86. tj Says:

Stop drinking are own koolaid and eat some humbled pie

  87. BamBamBuc Says:

Probably a good thing. Make these guys realize they’re gonna have to work even harder to be successful this year. Get back to it and put in the extra work. You’re not there yet, you haven’t been declared winners of anything at all. Have to work harder than everyone else. I hope the team takes this game to heart and busts it for the next couple weeks before the season starts.

  88. BigD Says:

Yes. This is probably good for a young team. This will push them to improve rather than rest on their KC success.

  89. Dean Says:

Good thing Ruuds gone. Don’t need his “7 yards down field tackles” @ least he could tackle!

  90. TOm Says:

Penn got DESTROYED tonight…. Anyone else agree? Their 93 is a beast

  91. Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

A great does of reality for Tampa, it is like Men playing against Boys. I turned it off!

  92. Theodore Says:

Guys, don’t worry. Raheem will unleash the offense in the 2nd half.

  93. Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

One has to ask, are we being out coached, or are we really this awful ? I see plain old physical domination myself ? We are getting spanked, and that is being kind.

  94. Macabee Says:

Well you can’t say it’s because we have no FAs. I’m watching the Eagles/Steelers game and with all the Eagle FAs, the Steelers are whuppin them just like the Pats are whuppin us.

  95. Hector Says:

did the pats play their starting defense for the whole first half?

  96. the_buc_realist Says:

kinda like when Thomas Jones was dancing on the defense for 2 plays then pulled out of the game?

  97. k_bassuka Says:

28-0 is not the same as 14-0

  98. FLBoyInDallas Says:

    Halftime…thank god. I’m getting a couple beers.

  99. BigD Says:

Eagles troubles with Steelers are understandable. These guys just came into the program. The Bucs however have what Dominic calls continuity, which is showing completely tonight. Together they are retreating like the French.

  100. Theodore Says:

    Couple MORE beers I hope.

  101. Eric Says:

Only preseason, but that almost looked like a “grown man team” first half.

    Burn the tape.

  102. Capt.Tim Says:

Some positives, but problems last year are still unchanged. Starting O-line can’t pass block. This game backups can’t block either.Quincy Black still spends more time in his belly than his feet. Hayes is hiding, I guess.
Our ” strength of the team” secondary can’t stop the pass, even when we play with the extra Db(3-3-5). And the 3-3-5 is only making stopping the run harder. Josh Johson keeps impressing. Missed field goal just typical of the night. Gonna be a long night.

  103. Amar Says:

Where is Thomas 2.0? Figured he’d love to see this score.

  104. k_bassuka Says:

    @ Apple roof cleaning

Its pre-season man or woman coaches don’t prepare their teams as if it is the regular season, they just throw at them basic plays to run. this one is on the players.

  105. Eric Says:

    Blackoutaneers.

  106. Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

FLBoy, I have HAD my share of Beers tonight, to try and ease the pain of this azz whipping.
It seem Tampa just can’t play with these big AFC Teams that run the 3/4
I think some has to do with coaching, but more has to do with plain old physical dominance.
We simply are not anywhere near the level of the Steelers or the Patriots. Their lines seem simply to be better, on both sides of the ball.

  107. Macabee Says:

I have season tickets and don’t go to preseason games. I don’t think they mean any thing because we’ve beat the Pats in preseason the last 2 or 3 times we played them. This is a good lesson plan for the young Bucs. Like Flyboy, have a cold one and relax. Better now, than later.

  108. Oahubuc Says:

Wow. We’re paying these bums on the oline what???

  109. st augustine tom Says:

our multimillion dollar kicker just missed! its 28-0. not good! anyways, hope we can clean this up.

  110. tylund Says:

i think it doesnt really matter theyll have more time to prepare and be ready the only thing preseason is good for is evaluating players your goin to cut.

  111. Eric Says:

    McCoy did look better.

Our kicker punted one down to the three.

    JJ isnt a bad backup.

I’m out, somebody help me out here……………

Oh, it doesnt count. thats a biggie.

  112. tylund Says:

some of the dline looked good mason fosters hit was nice

  113. SkookumSmitty Says:

    Well, now.

    Enough celebrating, Elbert.

  114. Treybucc Says:

Man our safty got burnt twice on the first two touchdowns! #26 sucks in coverage!

  115. Jrock Says:

Seriously, Mack scores the first points?

Now which corner do we cut? Great

  116. Dan Says:

clayborn hit brady, (not before the pass was off but i believe it caused an incomplete

  117. Dan Says:

okam got a sack on brady…

  118. Joe Says:

Bubblebuy Elbert Mack tries to keep his gig with a pick-six.

  119. tylund Says:

elbert put pressure on gaitor with the pick. was the interception caused by pressure

  120. McBuc Says:

yep, the sky is not falling. Thank god it is a preseason game. There is no need to jump ship a;ready. McCoy, Clayborn, and Okem looked pretty good. The Pats are on a mission to show why they should have been in the SB last year. They are the best team in the league, but as we all know the play offs are anyones to win. My biggest consern was the sloppy penalties,

  121. TeaPartyIn2012 Says:

Here we go Tampa, here we go.

  122. Jrock Says:

“[Frank] Okam looks like a manatee going up Crystal River!”

Wow, and that’s not even from the “color” commentary. All jokes aside though, GMC looked powerful from the nose tackle today, why not leave Okam in the under tackle and let them wreck it.

Why haven’t we seen that in preseason, secret weapon?

  123. TeaPartyIn2012 Says:

Time to get a new Defensive Coordinator

  124. Posey99 Says:

    Thomas 2.2 Says:
    August 18th, 2011 at 8:01 pm
    Anyone seen McCoy?

    Yes I did…

  125. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“Oh, it doesnt count. thats a biggie.”

    —–

I like that one the best!

  126. FLBoyInDallas Says:

McCoy didn’t play NT on any snaps I saw. I saw him at the UT spot.

  127. TeaPartyIn2012 Says:

Don’t you discriminate against me Joe. Freedom of speech. Everyone shall have their voice.

  128. Jrock Says:

FLBoy, really? I could have sworn I saw him at nose pushing the whole line back.

Well that’s Bucs preseason for you; use it to fine the best clearest stream before the season starts! I’m still on the hunt

  129. kyle Says:

What killed the Bucs early were penalties, they look like the Chiefs did last week but what can you expect with barely any practice. I won’t start worrying about this team unless they play this bad against Detroit. Like everyone says, preseason doesn’t mean much and this year it’s more of scrimmage type games anyways

  130. Mauha Deeb Says:

Josh Johnson is killing me. The entire offensive line could be upgraded. I am extremely disappointed.

  131. jlynch Says:

Thomas 2.2 dont worry where mc coy is why is that fat butt donald penn fac ing freeman and gettig pushed 4 yards back ????

  132. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Jrock: but you’re right about McCoy showing up tonight. He played really well. Him, Clayborn & Watson really impressed from what I saw.

  133. Tampa--->Baaaaaaayyyy Says:

    Tough loss tonight.

Let’s go out and get them next game.

  134. Tampa--->Baaaaaaayyyy Says:

    Quick question.

Is it out of line to think Rah may not be cut out to be a DC in the NFL?

I like him as a motivator and HC and all. But being a DC may be a stretch.

  135. Joke Says:

Clearly, if we’d just thrown mad cash at free agents we wouldn’t have stunk it up in this preseason game.

    [Checks Steelers-Eagles score.] Hey, wait a minute…

  136. Marc Says:

I would like to start this thread by saying Tom Brady breaks his knee again. Oh yeah I do. We look like crap… Rashammm should be fired and Geg Olsen could’nt coach pee wee football. The only thing the NFL got worng with lock out was not getting rid of the soccer loving english owners. Instead of spending money on a corner or a real “O” line and “D” line SUX, We paid a bunch of no ones. Please GOD step in and get rid of our ownership.

  137. buccin cane Says:

Damn Holland Jus killed woodhead dats two great hits tonight the.other by foster I don’t give.a.Damn what da refs called

  138. Marc Says:

    WE fREAKING SUX

  139. Mac Says:

Will be interesting to see how this team fares against a tough schedule. Last year’s win total was inflated due to playing the NFC West and having a terrible Carolina team in division. They’re not a horrible team, but 6-10 is realistic against this schedule. Freeman was unimpressive. The Detroit game will say a lot. That D could have them on the run all game and set up a bad start to the season.

  140. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“I would like to start this thread by saying Tom Brady breaks his knee again. Oh yeah I do. We look like crap… Rashammm should be fired and Geg Olsen could’nt coach pee wee football. ———-

Damn dude, you might want to lay off the beers at this point. It’s preseason, take a deep breath, now another, now read what you just wrote. You just made Thomas seem very rational.

  141. SkookumSmitty Says:

Yeah, I think Marc needs to switch to decaf, or put the meth pipe down.

  142. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Great showing by several players tonight: McCoy, Clayborn, Watson, Gaitor, JJ, Bradford, Lorig. I’m pumped to get the Lions in here.

  143. Macabee Says:

I just got back from the Stephen Holder’s chat. After reading all the glowing comments supporting the Bucs leading up to this game, I am just blown away at the number of fairweather fans that are out there. I don’t care about the game, but this type of response, I didn’t expect.

  144. Four Fingered Fisherman Says:

Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Terry Bradshaw just found time to give the Bucs some praise during the Steelers-Eagles game…picked them to be one of the 5-6 new teams to make the playoffs this year…starting to get some recognition!

  145. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Macabee,

Tell me about it. Talk about getting your panties in a wad over an exhibition game! We’ve got people wanting Raheem fired, God to take ownership from the Glazers, and Brady to break his knee; and that’s not even Thomas! My oh my oh my!

  146. Joe Says:

    Guys, Joe has to apologize:

Joe forgot to check the pending comments for those who are first-time commenters. There were 27 pending when Joe checked. If you were left out in the cold, Joe apologizes.

  147. Four Fingered Fisherman Says:

    @ apple roof

Really, the Steelers offensive line? Clearly, you don’t know what your talking about…That was one of their biggest weakness last year and they are injury riddled on that front. Look at the great Steelers last week vs. the Redskins…don’t get your panties in an uproar over the preseason…were talking about preseason…preseason (my inner Allen Iverson)!

  148. Piratic Says:

147 responses and no one states the obvious: That’s NOT Jaime Hanna.

  149. Piratic Says:

Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure that the last time Joe posted this picture he said it was Marlana Aref.
