“Struggle Has No Timeline”

June 30th, 2011

Philosophical Brian Price checks in with JoeBucsFan TV and hardly paints an optimistic picture of his future. Sarah Tyson grabbed Price on the sidelines at the players-only minicamp in Bradenton.

Why doesnt someone just ask the questions straight up instead of dancing around how he feels? Is this injury potentially career threatening? If he doesn’t know ask his doctor. Of course he’s going to seem a little down. He’s not out there with his teammates. All these people trying to draw conclusions is just a waste of time. He had major surgery so of course it’s going to take time to heal. He’s up walking around which is a goos sign. Now if he was using a walker I would start worrying but no need to until something is definite.

He is an articulate and philosophical young man. I am really hoping he can come back from this, as he is a special talent. He deserves his chance to be great-I pray he gets it!

Sound kept fading in and out and I turned my speakers up all the way to barely here any of it. Tech glitch that JB needs to work the bugs out of.

So I have no idea what Price said.

  4. Vic Says:

Sounds good to me. Price was a little low probably becaue the mike is to far from him, but I heard everything. Sheesh, the dude is the opposite of upbeat about the injury. Sad. He’ll be a trivia question soon.

You know, I just had a thought…if the NFL cannot have contact with the players…why was Goodell there?

I’ve been out of contact for a couple days (more like a week) so if I missed something, please fill me in!

  6. Brad Says:

I think it’s just limited to coaches and gm’s. Goodell is technically smith’s counterpart not representing any one team. The whole damn this is ridiculous regardless!

He was invited by DeMaurice Smith.

  8. Pete Dutcher Says:

Ah…well, at least they are getting along. That’s a good sign…right?

You know, I was just thinking…this lockout has been a good thing in one way…the media is scrambling for NFL news, and we’re seeing more indepth stuff than in most years. I just realized…w’re less than what? 2 months from the start of training camps?

    The time has flown by.

Pete Dutcher, man on an island…

I like Price’s attitude when he said “When I get into the hall of fame”. That shows me he believes in himself. I think he was a good pick by Tampa, we will just have to be patient with him.
