Breakdown Of Day 1 Of Freeman’s Minicamp

June 29th, 2011

Video star Anwar Richardson and Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune give their take on Day 1 of the Josh Freeman three-day minicamp held at the IMG Academies in Bradenton.

Some interesting insight here, and Richardson let’s us know he’s rockin’ the J.J. Walker look, not Gilligan.

If Gruden is what we think he is, he would have called Freeman prior to these workouts and gave Freeman some advice but no he’s not what we think he is. Maybe I should be glad our squad has no contact with the last regime. Just saying it would have been something if Gruden did call Freeman even a good luck would have been something.

  2. Gary Says:

    Amar,

I dont think Gru would have called even if he was a nice guy. He still seems bitter about being let go and probably wants to put the Bucs in his rearview mirror.

That said, if he did call it would have shown what kind of person he is now, but we all know he would never call.

Seriously? You guys are worried about an old head coach not calling? Did Dungy or Wysche? Who cares! Or, I guess it’s that grudge? No need to hold that grudge, let it go!

  4. OAR Says:

I still think that’s really Gilligan and the Skipper!

  5. FreemanBomb5 Says:

Why would we want for Jon Gruden to call Freeman? That makes little to no sense at all, basically Josh Freeman stands for everything that Chucky was against. Simms and Gradkowski really only played b/c of circumstances, not b/c Chucky was trying to groom a QB of the future.

  6. OAR Says:

Besides the fact, they were 4th round(Simms) and 6th round(Gradkowski) picks!

  7. Amar Says:

    OAR,

You’re over reacting. If you look at how much he does for other teams (i.e. Saints during the super bowl season) he doesn’t keep in touch with any of his guys. I’ve never heard anything at all. Yes I do agree he’s still bitter but time to get over it and quit pretending like he was never in Tampa. Some of these guys on the roster worked there tails off for him either blocking for a washed up qb with a noodle arm or blowing there knees out carrying the ball 20+ a game like there Bo Jackson.

Just pointing out the fact Gru is a douche bag and needs to quit thinking he’s a football god.

And you’re Dungy reference well Dungy never shy’s away when the Bucs are brought up when he’s on the mic, Gru runs for cover.

You brought him up and dog him for not calling(again what and why?), but I’m overreacting? Too funny!
“he doesn’t keep in touch with any of his guys.”
You must be close friends with all those players(his guys) you’re referring to, cause how else would you know who he contacts and who he doesn’t?
BTW Even if he did call Freeman, you would blast him for “tainting him” or some other BS, as you’ve pointed out in your first post.
    Like I said, WHO CARES!
