Bucs Get Their Report Card

January 9th, 2011

“The Professor,” John Clayton of BSPN, has wrapped up his final exams and has handed out grades for the 2010 season in the NFC South. Joe thinks you may be surprised by what grade the Bucs earned.

  1. Brad Says:

Those grades were out last week Joe. The Bucs got an A. A little late to the dance Joe.

  2. cjackson Says:

    wow espn love feels strange

  3. RonRon Says:

I respect the grade, but I still take issue with John Clayton’s view that Matt Ryan developed into one of the best QB’s in the NFC, yet Josh Freeman is still “one year away.” Josh Freeman had a better year than Ryan, throwing for more yards less interceptions, only three less touchdowns, and with a higher QB rating, all while being three years younger. Matt Ryan is so overrated in comparison with Josh Freeman it’s not even funny!

  4. OB Says:

They are all afraid of the Bucs now.

  5. admin Says:

    Joe here,

@Brad – Joe’s not late to the dance. Joe just chose to introduce this today. Seemed like the most fitting time. It’s hardly breaking news that Joe’s readers needed to know immediately.

  6. Buc You Says:

The Bucs defense is still sub par thanks to RaheeEEEEEems aweful play calling.

How about a new defensive coordinator?

  7. Guest#27 Says:

Brad are you a douche bag?

Mr Joe provides us with the news, several times a day, 7 days a week. Go find another website that is more timely if it bothers you that much.

Joe, you are doing a marvelous job man. Absolutely no complaints here. That Brad complainer is obviously a minority voice, vs the majority of your readers who love your content.

  8. Brad Says:

I wasn’t complaining dumbass. I just knew this news was available days ago and I know Joe is usually ahead of most sites. So shut your pie hole!!!

  9. Brad Says:

Plus your an ass kisser!!! Pucker up guest 27…

  10. Guest#27 Says:

Next time don’t come off as a douche and you won’t get called out you pr1ck.

  11. Beescreamer Says:

    @RonRon
Look closely to what he said, Matt Ryan, one of the best in the “NFC” and Josh Freeman “1 year away from being an elite Quarterback in the league”
Thats a much better compliment to be elite, which probably means he sees Freeman as one of the best in the NFC already.

  12. Brad Says:

How in the hell is saying your late to the dance coming off as a douche bag you douche bag. Your a bigger idiot than buc you and Thomas 2.1. If u decide to read their comments you might have something to bitch about u bitch.. If u didn’t have a stroke first. I’ve never seen a lesser comment get such a dumbass response. I’ve referred more people to this site and have provided Joe with website stories so go f1ck yourself!!

  13. Brad Says:

Now that I think about my guess is guest27 is either buc you or thomas2.1 cause I can’t believe this site would have 3 dumbasses on it. But who knows this site reaches all over the world so its possible guess 27 is his own as@hole
and not somebody else’s. Guest27 did u see Rah’s pants pulled down at the mall?

  14. McBuc Says:

Buc Yiou, I thought the defense finished around 17th in the league. That is in the middle and an improvement from the year before. They also had a bunch of guys on IR, so I would say Morris is doing a fine job with both the team and defense.

  15. McBuc Says:

Brad, he could also be Tampa 2, that jack wagon has not been around much lately.

  16. Brad Says:

Agree with you Mcbuc… The defense with all the injuries it had plus being young, using receivers to play D. And to finish middle if the pack is remarkable. Imagine how good we will be next year with another year of experience, getting everyone back, another draft, free agency. Raheem will improve that ranking..

  17. McBuc Says:

Yep Brad, and Thomas and Buc’s heads will explode.

  18. Bucs4ever Says:

Asomugha is a FA!!!! Go get him Dom!! Young and a stud!
    Asomugha + Talib = Shutdown

  19. Hunter Says:

@Bucs4ever: Asomugha is not young, he turns 30 at the beginning of July….

  20. Joe Says:

    Guest#27:

Hey, thanks for watching Joe’s back but Joe wasn’t offended with Brad’s comment. Joe decided to wait, partially because it was not breaking news and partially because Joe thought it would be good weekend Bucs news fodder.

  21. Guest#27 Says:

Not trying to sit up front teach. I just think its unfair for people to attack you. We all should discuss the Bucs, exchange ideas among each other, but there is no good reason for people to take cheap shots at you as if you are Chris Chase Yahoo blogger extraordinare. Man that guy takes a BEATING.

  22. Brad Says:

That was not attack on Joe… Like I said earlier if you would get out of your own way, joes site us usually where I get my news first. Joe stated he waited on purpose to keep positive Buc new flowing. I just like to be first with news for my out of state buc fans and they let me know about if they get news before me. So bottom line guest27 you rant and raved all morning for zero reason. They only negative responses from me are not with the site but idiot bloggers..

  23. Guest#27 Says:

    Brad, chill out you douche.

  24. Brad Says:

Wow you have a large vocabulary…your just a waste of time. Joe’s a big boy and has no problem sticking up for himself. Not that he needed defending anything I said. Your rant was so off the wall and stupid. Why don’t you spend the day finding bloggers that need responses from idiots like you. I’m sure there’s enough material in here that you can spend your days sticking up for Joe.

  25. Valdez47 Says:

Brad I think you came off more as a douche on your reply than on your initial post. Guest27 is a kiss ass, but chill a little.

  26. Bucs4ever Says:

    @Hunter

umm Asomugha hasn’t allowed a TD in 3 years…ur nuts if u dont want him

  27. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’m not usually one for going after big named, high priced free agents, but Asomugha is an exception. He is possibly the best CB in the league. We would instantly have the best CB duo in the league (suck it Jets). He is a little older, but I think he is the type of CB that has many more great years left (ala Champ Bailey). I know we probably won’t go get him, but I guarantee you Raheem would be really happy if we did.

  28. YungBuc Says:

Imagine if we DID get Asomugha?! I mean, who you gonna throw at? Asomugha? Talib? Barber I guess…?

Sure this isn’t happening at ALL, but we can dream can’t we? Although I’m sure 31 other teams are thinking the same thing…

  29. Andrew Says:

    FEAR THE FREEMAN!!!!!

  30. CannuckBuc Says:

John Clayton should have retired with Tom Landry, back when the game past him bye the first time . This guy has become a joke in the NFL community.

  31. gotbbucs Says:

Right there with you Hawaiian Buc. If there was ever a big name guy to go after, Asomugha is the one. I doubt if they’ll go after him because I think they liked how Biggers and Lewis progressed this year, but Talib and Asomugha would scare the crap out of every QB in the league.

  32. The White Tiger Says:

Still think a our 2010 (10-6) schedule will bring us back to earth a little in 2011…but I couldn’t agree more with Clayton…THIS time…where was he a year ago, anybody remember…?

Because my grade for Clayton’s PRESEASON predictions (power ranking of 30 versus a final power ranking of 13) is an “F”…because in his words…”everything went wrong….” he got EVERYTHING wrong…

talk about bandwagon/late to the party!

  33. MVPFreeman Says:

Guys… I think were only going to win 2 games over the next 3 seasons.
