Offensive Gameplan “Overly Complicated”

December 14th, 2010

Though happy with the win Sunday, Derek “Old School” Fournier of WhatTheBuc.net isn’t overly giddy with Greg Olson’s gameplan Sunday.

    @ Old School

That’s an EXCELLENT question Old School. Why DON’T teams continue to bludgeon us with the run in the 2nd half? This has happened in a few games (Cincy immediately comes to mind) and it really is mind blowing. These OCs aren’t dumb or they wouldn’t be at this level of competition and we’re not simply “lucky”.

Is it greed? Our inexperienced secondary and pass rush? Too many men in the box? Rah’s exotic run blitz schemes?

    Great recap like always.

Let’s go Bucs! Beat those kitty cats!

Great breakdown Derek, and I agree, why was Olsen so complicated, with all the new guys in there ? I thought Tampa should have run Blount even more. But a win is a win is a win, and we will take it. It is also nice to see Benn coming into his own lately.

I really like Greg Olsen but he doesnt believe in our guys when it gomes to 3rd and 1….. He believes in Josh Freeman and We go into shotgun! (and I did like the”spread the feild qb sneak”) but What about using Earnest on the 3rd and short? I love the pottential that this offense has… Go Bucs!
