Bucs 21, 49ers 0

Unreal!

Donuts for Donald Penn. Beers for Mike Williams. And a game ball for everyone on the defensive line.

Finally, finally, finally, the Bucs figured out how to stop the run en route to a shutout win in San Francisco. Frank Gore with 12 carries for 23 yards?  Who could have imagined? Joe still can’t believe it.

The thought of Raheem Morris pitching a shutout with his defense in a big November road game with sacks from Adam Heyward, Michael Bennett, Al Woods and Alex Magee, plus two from Stylez White, is nothing short of amazing. Give Raheem a game ball, too.

It was a near perfect game for the Bucs.

Tampa Bay is 7-3!!!!!!

The Race to 10 might not be enough Ws to get them to the playoffs, but it certainly looks like they should hit the 10 mark now.

Joe will have so much more through the evening. Check back to JoeBucsFan.com often.

I wonder what Buc You, Thomas, Eric and the rest of the heem haters club will say now? oh wait I already know what they will say; still haven’t beaten a team with a winning record; still haven’t beaten a decent quarterback blah blah blah blah etc. Those guys are just becoming parodies of themselves. Race to 10 is in the homestretch baby!!!!!!

  2. HIRE GREG OLSON! Says:

Good Game. I called our shot.

  3. ac3 Says:

ok buc you, who was the weak link in this game?

  4. Gus Johnson Says:

    “The slipper still fits!!!!”

  5. Gavster Says:

JOE look at what Vacation man said.

The Bucs are 7-3. This victory wasn’t as dominant as the score might indicate, but who cares?

WHAT!?!? we dominated htem !!! they couldnt move the ball!

  6. McBuc Says:

    I thought McCoy had 1 1/2 sacks…

  7. Steve From Oregon Says:

I writing from the parking lot at the game…..Wow….the score does not tell just how dominate our defense was. This made the 8 hour drive well worth it!

    Amazing!!!!!

  8. MOBucs Says:

    McCoy had a sack!

  9. Danbucsfan Says:

6 sacks, and we stuffed the run, and we had an interception from our future hall of famer…AWESOME BABY!!!!

  10. Matt Says:

The stadium announcer said McCoy had a sack!

  11. Capt.Tim Says:

Unbelievable! Just unbelievable. We looked like our defense of old today. Our defense was totally dominating, and carried the team. Just unbelievable . . .

  12. RustyRhino Says:

a Great win!! what will the talking heads say about our win?

  13. lovethepewter Says:

Ya NFL.com gives sacks to McCoy (two .5 sacks), Hayward, Magee, Bennett, Woods, and White (1.5). Great win to snap a 30+ year home shutout streak. And I laughed my ars off when Penn scored….sooooo funny. Not to mention Blount owning Manny Lawson and taking a full speed diving hit from Spikes and standing still like a statue, not moving back a single inch…what a monster!!!! And to Joe: Trey Wingo is a douche!

  14. lovethepewter Says:

    Woods .5 sack

  15. Blackmagic00 Says:

ThaT score does not indicate how dominated san fran was. We KILLED them and might I add Thats their first shut out since 1977! Yaaaaaaaaaa GOOO BUCS!!!

  16. ChallengerDeep Says:

Long-time reader, first-time commentator. What a win. This is the kind of game that makes you scratch your head but also makes the NFL so great. I thought we would win, but I also thought Gore would get 100+ and a score or two. But a shutout?! Six sacks?! We are all proud citizens of Crazy Town. I’m running for comptroller.

  17. Troxell8t8 Says:

Ho-hum, Bucs win another game, let me take a bit of my sandwich, this is becoming old hat.

  18. Bucnjim Says:

Hayes, Haywood, & Datson were all over the field along with a good push from the D line. Nice game!

  19. RustyRhino Says:

we played good D today for sure

  20. Bucnjim Says:

We need to start giving Cody Grimm some love as well!!

  21. RustyRhino Says:

    Datson isnt this a car Bucnjim… 🙂

  22. Bucnjim Says:

As a matter of fact I used to have a 280Z, but sorry bout’ the spelling

  23. gitarlvr Says:

Hayward\Watson have shined the past two and a half games since Quincy Black has been out. Its time for one of those guys to be the new starting strongside linebacker.

  24. lakeland bob Says:

This team is improving every week.We are 4 and 1 on the road-amazing.This team is verey capable of beating the Ravens next week. Can you say playoffs baby.

  25. Scott Says:

I gotta say that I was a big Raheem doubter and very skeptical and critical of the Glazers rebuilding plan. Man am I glad to be wrong. For the doubters; even if the Buc’s don’t beat any ‘real’ teams this year so what? They have exceeded all reasonable expectations and anyone who watches football can see the building blocks are falling into place. One more good draft and maybe an odd free agent or two and you are looking at decade of being a contender again.

  26. BamBamBuc Says:

Gotta wonder how Dom is doing it? I mean, not only has he plucked Blount off waivers before anyone else could, but he’s brought in guys like Larsen (I wondered if he got hurt as well), and now Al Woods and Alex Magee get into the act. How is it that these guys are out there “unwanted”, yet when we bring them in they’re playing so well as active players instead of practice squad fodder. Al Woods actually looked good the week they picked him up. We’ve got 7th rounders playing well (Stroughter, Biggers, Watson, Grimm, even Lorig when active). Without overlooking some mistakes (Clayton, Ward, etc), Dom has to have made believers out of most everyone by now. Wow, I’m impressed. And as young as these guys are, they look to only get better.

  27. Bucs4ever Says:

BUCS BABY!!!! MCCOY!!! pleaaaaaaaaaaaase tell me GMC isnt hurt bad! i couldnt watch when he got hurt on that last drive

  28. BigMacAttack Says:

Hire Greg Olson, LOL. Good One.

I hope GMC is alright after Stylez fell on his leg. Looked bad at the time. Great job defense. Great team win.

Mike (DUL) Williams comes through again. Oh yea, Driving Under the Limit.

  29. Pete 422 Says:

Great game! This is the perfect time to start stopping the run. Baltimore is much tougher, but the D-line seems to be “getting it.” 7-3 going into next week feel very good. I think Freeman struggled a bit against the 3-4, but did a good job. The 49er front 7 is good, especially their linebackers, so this was good experience.

The Bucs were also able to run between the tackles on the 49ers and that is their strength. Great game!

  30. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Anybody seen Buc You, Eric, and Thomas? Come on little boys, come take your medicine.

  31. gitarlvr Says:

Yeah they might not show for a few days Hawaiian. But rest assured that by the time the conversation turns to the Baltimore Ravens they will be back in force proclaiming how the Ravens will destroy this Bucs team that they “allegedly” root for.

  32. sensiblebuc Says:

LMAO @ “HIRE” Greg Olson! Good form!

  33. AtlBucsFan Says:

Great win for the Bucs! 10 wins clearly in sight. Not sure 10 will be enough to get them into the playoffs with the way the other teams are playing. Should be fun to watch over the remaining games. I’m really enjoying this!
