Gaines Adams’ Stats Nearly Equal To Sabby’s

Oh, that Mad Twitterer. He’s at it again.
Better known in some circles as Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times, he Twittered Thursday an eye-popping statistic that is sure to leave Bucs fans feeling much worse this morning than their hangover.

Amazing stat: Bucs S Sabby Piscitelli, who has started 15 games, has 1 INT and just 3 passes defensed. Traded DE Gaines Adams has 2 PDs.
Can you imagine? An NFL starting stong safety barely — BARELY! — has better stats than a stiff of a part-time defensive end. What do you have to say for yourself, Sabby the Goat? Speak!
Bucs fans were outraged at the lack of production from Adams. But this little tidbit of information should have Bucs fans beside themselves, and not at Adams.
Joe is pretty certain this is not agent-driven speculation.

I am sure Sabby has a lot more missed tackles and balls caught over his head than Adams. Sabby sucks!

Sabby = BUST. I wonder if Chicago will give the Bucs a 3rd round pick for Sabby. Actually, the Bucs would probably have to give up a 3rd round pick just to get someone to take him. Just cut him. Draft Eric Berry and solve this problem position.

I just wish there was a remedy for Jermaine Phillips’ osteoporatic frame. Then Sabby Whiffcitelli would merely be an afterthought. Somebody get that dude a glass of milk!

Last year Gaines Adams had two passes intercepted (one for a TD against Chicago in our OT win) and a game winning pick of Aaron Rodgers in the 30-21 win over Green Bay. Basically Gaines Adams as a DE in 2008 had more impact on the Bucs pass defense than Sabby did in 2009.
I am pretty sure he had more than 3 passes defensed.

LOL Jackson do you even watch football? Get your info right before you post. Tanard has 6 pd, 4 int (2 for tds), and only 10 less tackles ( can’t even count how many less miss tackles). That’s in 4 less games played. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/teams/stats?team=tam
