Caddy Completes His Miracle

January 3rd, 2010

This is why Joe isn’t a compulsive gambler.

If someone would have offered to bet Joe before the season that Cadillac Williams would finish 2009 with 200+ carries, play every game and have his best yardage output since his rookie season, Joe would have bet a massive sum against that happening.

Sure, Caddy’s story has been written and praised over and over. But it’s still worth mentioning again.

In a perfect world, one in which the Bucs have much fewer needs, Joe would suggest, if not demand, that the Bucs use a second round pick to snag a running back.

Joe’s just not convinced Cadillac can be relied upon — ever. And Derrick Ward? At 30 years old, maybe he’s almost done.

But given how strong Cadillac finished, maybe the “best backfied in the NFL”  (remember that 3-headed monster) is worth bringing back for one more season given the Bucs more pressing needs.

Hey guys, keep your fingers crossed, KC is beating Denver 37-24 right now, so hopefully we’ll get one of the top three picks!

44-24 KC over Denver now, looks like we’re getting the 3rd pick this year–at least something good came out of today!
