The CITS Is In Throwback Mode

November 8th, 2009

Fans in a couple of hours will get a treat on TV. The CITS is all decked out in creamsicle.

The Bucs cheerleaders are all wearing orange. A giant Bucco Bruce helmet is at midfield.  The end zones have white “TAMPA BAY” with orange trim.

Even the sides of the CITS on field level have an orange and white banner circling the stadium.

It will look cool to Bucs fans on TV. Joe is already impressed.

Just like old times! Hey, Hey, Tampa Bay, on our way to 0-26!

Thank goodness we can decorate. Because we sure can’t play Football!

Yeah TpaBay and a first pick in the draft year after year. Just like the old days we won’t take the best player available because he will cost to much. Maybe another Bo Jackson who will set out a year rather than play for the laughing stock of the league. But we can all feel good about how our owners won’t spend any money and are maybe 80 million under the cap. What smart business men we have running our team. It’s something we can all be proud of. One last thought. Do you think they bought new orange jerseys or had some in a box somewhere from the 80s? That alone would save them a couple of thousand.

The Bucs are going to win today Joe, mark my words they will win. I feel it in my bones.

My problem with this is, when I was a kid you couldn’t find a Bucs jersey with the creamsicles and now they charge almost $200 bucks for a throwback. How Ironic. I was about 23 when my so tight they were nut huggers gym shorts with Bucco Bruce on the thigh finally wore out. I think I originally got them in 1979 when they weren’t nut huggers on me along with a Bucco Bruce orange T-shirt. Wore that SOB out in the ’80’s. Go Bucs!

I didn’t know where to give this shout out (and maybe I’ll repeat it so it’s read more) but…I’d like to congratulate the FOX NFL crew and staff for putting on one helluva show and tribute to our troops in Afghanistan and America and their selfless and magnificent pregame show from halfway across the world. God Bless you all at Fox and to all our troops who protect this great country and give us all here at homme an opportunity to enjoy, watch, and comment on football with the feeling of safety.

Is it too soon to fire Jim Bates?

Culpepper and Chip Carter were hilarious last night at the end of the 10PM sports news dressed and wigged in late 70’s fashion.
Joe you should try and get that link up for all to see
