Raheem Credits Orange Then Drops It On Dominik

November 9th, 2009

It’s official! The Bucs orange uniforms helped them win.

Yes, It’s true. A group of professional football players care so much about their appearences that jersey color has an impact.

Raheem The Dream told the world this was the case during his news conference at One Buc Palace today.

“I’m thinking it was a big effect. It definitely created some excitement about the game. More people talking about how they’re going to look, how they’re going to do,” Raheem The Dream told the media with a straight face.

After this admission of the orange’s impact, Raheem The Dream shockingly said he wasn’t sure he’d try to influence his bosses to have the throwback uniforms worn again.

“I don’t know about push to use them. I got other problems to worry about to be honest with you,” Raheem The Dream said. “I leave that to, Mark Dominik can make that decision. I leave that stuff to Mark and our ownership, and things of that nature.”

C’mon, Rah. You just said the uniforms helped. Now you don’t want to ask Dominik to use them?

Crap, you checked in with him on nearly everthing else, a fact you’ve defended on many occassions.

Man up, Rah. Get on that sideline phone as ask for orange.

Let’s not go crazy with the orange! This is like Dumbo’s feather.

    Joe,

I can’t find an e-mail address for you on the site, so delete this if you like after you read it. I don’t know if you can control what googleads puts on your site, but I’m sure you don’t want stuff like this: http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/6452/joebucspackers.jpg

    E-mail is joe@joebucsfan.com

Joe has no control over what Google Ads runs. As Joe stated last night, he noticed that ad before. That usually means Joe’s getting a bunch of visitors with Wisconsin IP addresses.

Since Google Ads cuts Joe a check, Joe isn’t going to lose sleep over a temporary Packers gear ad.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    Joe,

Why are you giving Rah a hard time? The orange will not be his call and Rah’ s right . He has more things to worry about than what his teams wears on sunday. Like the fact they still gave up Bombs of 74 and 35 yards for Td’s. Or that they got run on for around 130 yesterday. Love the win, love the fact that this team is not giving up on coach Morris. There are some things I didn’t like about the game. I’m with you on the running the ball, was yelling at the Tv.. ” thats not how you help a young Qb win!!!” but hey the young kid made some big plays. Love the sacks, still think we have the worst two starting DT’s in the league. This team plays hard for it coach… That has to say something about the job Rah’s doing.

  5. MTM Says:

If the Buc’s defense stops giving up big plays. It will make it easier on Freeman. if he has to constantly play catch up. He is going to be throwing the ball more. Then it will increase his chances of throwing picks. Hopefully they can stop the deep ball next week.

  6. Jackson Says:

Did you even see the presser with Morris? He basically, laughed it off and said, EXACTLY the right thing, for a change, “I’ve got more important things on my mind”. Its not Morris’ decision, Totally taken out out context.

    Joe here,

Jackson, these quotes were transcribed directly from the news conference and not from any type of sanitized Bucs news release.

Watch it again. Morris says completely seriously that the jerseys made a difference. You can read the quote above.

Then, rightfully so, he was asked if he’ll push to wear them again. Then he says “No,” as if they’re meaningless. Don’t you see the irony there?

It’s actually funny watching Morris play it both ways. He says the jerseys helped but then shrugs off wearing them again? Which is it, Rah?

**Nobody has much a sense of humor anymore, apparently

    Joe,

Isn’t there a difference between saying the orange jerseys made a difference for one Tampa history-centric game, and saying orange jerseys will make a difference EVERY game?

Raheem said that they made a difference, and so did some of his players, but it does not then follow that they need to play in orange jerseys to win games.

In fact, even if the orange helped, you need to be able to win in pewter and red, so that’s what they’re going to [try and] do.
