Bryant’s Knee Injury Nothing New

August 11th, 2009

The way Joe looks at Antonio Bryant’s knee injury is that it’s better it happened in early August than early October. Unless the doctors find something untoward, Bryant should be back for the season opener against Dallass.

Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune reports this is the same knee that has given Bryant troubles since last year.

“We’re going to scope it and clean it out and get him ready for the Dallas,” Morris said, referring to the Bucs’ Sept. 13 regular-season opener. “It’s kind of been lingering with him so we decided to get in there and fix it up.”

Morris said the knee is the same one Bryant hurt a year ago. He said Bryant has been battling through the pain in his meniscus and is hopeful the surgery will allow him to return to top form.

Let’s just say that Joe is crossing his fingers the doctors don’t find anything serious.
