Backwards Hat Is Back

August 4th, 2009

Good guy Rick Brown of the Lakeland Ledger, who was kind enough to do an interview with Joe earlier this year, is back with his Bucs video reports and he has his trademark hat on backwards!

Here Brown talks about the Bucs battles, specifically in the secondary.

    Joe, Joe, Joe…

The ONLY thing good about Rick Brown’s reports is the video quality. I learned absolutely NOTHING of importance during that 3.5 minute clip. Talk about generic reporting…ugh!

It appeared as if Rick were READING something written by ESPN. I was expecting to hear something about the secondary BATTLE. What I HEARD was Rhonde and Talib are the starters with Mack and Arrington “competing” for the back-up positions. Wow that’s news?

How about something with teeth Rick? Like –
The projected starting CB’s, Rhonde Barber and Talib Aquib were in fine form at training camp. These two competitiors demonstrated why they will start for the Bucs. Rhonde returned to his 2001 form with a quick start off the ball. Considering that Barber, who will turn 37 this year, will be required to play more bump and run defense it was impressive to see how physical Rhonde has performed.

In years past the Bucs only practiced in shorts but under the new management of Raheem the Bucs were in pads and the hitting was fierce.

Well that’s only an example of what I would expect with a video Rick, spice it up man stop being so plain vanilla – if we wanted that we’d turn to ESPN.

Joe gotta give this post a C minus. Good video but content – unworthy of JoeBucsFan dot com. Posting just to post? Are you trying to fill a quota?

Backwards Hat’s video quality is quite good. Just look at the background.
