Sports Xchange Folks Need To Sober Up

With a "backup" like Jeremy Zuttah, how can the Bucs have only the No. 13-rated offensive line?

Joe generally enjoys the copy that the Sports Xchange provides Bucs fans. It’s usually intelligent and in-depth.

But the latest offering from the Sports Xchange folks is downright stupid. The Sports Xchange, via FoxSports.com, ranks the top offensive lines in the NFL and they have the Bucs offensive line ranked No. 13.

No, that’s not a misprint. No. 13.

The Bucs consider the offensive line a strength and they plan to play to that strength. The unit is anchored by Pro Bowler Joseph, who has slimmed down to 305 pounds. Faine, at 28, is the oldest member of the group. The Bucs have done a good job investing high draft picks in this position, including Joseph (first-round) and Trueblood and Sears (second round). Penn is solid, but will become a free agent next season. Lee and Illinois rookie Fulton will compete to be the swing tackle.

In a sidebar listing the starting players, the Sports Xchange has mystery man Aaron Sears as a starter (best Joe can tell, the only place Sears can be found on Sundays will be on his couch in Alabama.) Anyone else notice no mention of Jeremy Zuttah, who was so good as a rookie last year few noticed when Davin Joseph missed a few games due to injury?

This is just a terrible roundup by the Sports Xchange. Someone either needs to do some research or at least return from vacation.
