Joe would like to see Gaines Adams take more direct routes to the quarterback rather than his usual detours to Brandon

Joe’s headline is what TBO.com, or the Tampa Tribune, should have used for Anwar Richardson’s recent article about six Bucs players who need to prove their worth this season.

In short, Richardson lists Ronde Barber, Stylez G. White, Sabby Piscitelli, Antonio Bryant, Maurice Stovall and Matt Bryant as players on the proverbial bubble.

For Joe’s tastes, there seems to be a couple of headscratchers on that list. Joe’s not sure what the Bryants need to prove outside of possibly consistency.

Personally, Joe would remove the Bryants and White  from that list and replace them with Gaines Adams — who has to prove he can do something outside of taking a pit stop at the pirate ship for a cup of Gatorade on his way to the quarterback — Jimmy Wilkerson and Angelo Crowell, who has to prove that he can still play on two knees.
