Miller Time Official

July 13th, 2009

All defensive tackle Roy Miller has to do now is bring it every snap and stuff the run.

Joe’s not one to get excited about third round draft picks’ contracts.

But apparently ProFootballTalk.com creator and guru Mike Florio is, as he finds the need to quote top secret NFL sources when detailing the terms of defensive tackle Roy Miller shiny new contract with the Bucs.

Yes. Miller is signed. Hip. Hip. Hooray. The team made the announcement today.

Joe hopes Miller can fulfill the on-field promise he seems to have. His work ethic and strong character surely appear to be there already.

Florio says the Bucs have forked over a $770,000 signing bonus and inked Miller to a four-year deal.

Surely Florio will talk more about the signing live on 620 WDAE-AM, The Sports Animal, at 5 p.m. today. Cigar Dave (minus his chain-smoking lieutenants) fills in for the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig.

Justin is on vacation through the weekend. He returns next week as does Steve Duemig.

Hey Joe: You forgot to read the byline on the PFT post…..it wasn’t Mike Florio, it was Aaron Wilson.

And, Florio certainly has great sources. As golf commentator and Tampa native Gary Koch would say: “Better than most!”
