Key Issues

How quickly Jermaine Phillips can learn his new position at linebacker is one of the key issues the Bucs will face in training camp that both Joe and USA Today figured out.

How quickly Jermaine Phillips can learn his new position at linebacker is one of the key issues the Bucs will face in training camp, as Joe and USA Today reported.

Seems as though someone at USA Today has been reading Joe.

The McPaper, via FoxSports.com, has a brief rundown of what fans should look for in training camp with each team. Virtually each point USA Today makes with the Bucs, Joe has talked about at length.

Key issues: The Bucs have the makings of a talented offense if they can tie it together with the right quarterback. The defensive line is transitioning from the speedy Tampa 2 scheme to a more traditional 4-3. And they’re trying to convert safety Jermaine Phillips into Brooks’ replacement at outside linebacker.

Pretty much what Joe has been expanding on since just after the draft.

Aside from those elements, the Bucs should be great.

And aside from the fact Joe is a Caybrew-swilling slob who would much rather surf the net for Bucs news or watch the NFL Network from the comfort of his leather couch than spend hundreds of dollars a night at a trendy south Tampa nightspot, Joe might be able to lure Rachel Watson.
