Bucs No. 27

July 28th, 2009

For the first time this season (yeah, Joe knows it’s not the season yet, but given the fact training camp is mere hours away, allow Joe some liberty), Joe has come across a power rankings list of the NFL teams.

Oddly enough, the list comes from former Bucs beat writer and current SI.com columnist Don Banks. He has the Bucs listed low, but not as low as Joe expected. Banks has the Bucs listed at No. 27.

Did anyone in the NFL have a more puzzling offseason than the Bucs? They’re being universally written off to the rebuilding class of the league’s lower echelon, and I can’t really argue with that assessment.

Unless the Bucs get tremendous quarterback play (Jeff George anyone?), there’s no reason to believe the Bucs will be among the top half of the NFL.

Joe hopes he’s terribly wrong.

Jeff thinks Joe spends countless hours searching for beautiful girls wearing pewter and red. Can’t say I blame him.

Fly greatly admires the fawn-eyed serf on the side-bar ad for “Play Unnoticeable Now!”

    Joe should interview her!
