Sears Needs A Mentor

Does Arron Sears have the blues?

Does Arron Sears have the blues?

The latest Aaron Sears rumor floated by Pewter Report has Arron Sears battling depression rather than concussion effects.

Whatever is going on with Sears, Joe knows the young man is in desperate need of guidance. If Sears is, in fact, having mental struggles, he needs to know better than to show up smiling, giddy and coaching at an Alabama kids football camp while his teammates are sweating their rears off during OTAs.

Sears’ camp appearance surely doesn’t take away from problems he may or not be having, but Jimminy Christmas it looks horrendous to his new teammates and coaches who may not be as understanding as Joe.

Sears could miss training camp, speculates Petwer Report’s mysterious third unnamed source on the subject (Joe’s journalism mentors would shudder at such absolute recklessness).

The whole Sears situation should become much clearer when the Bucs report for mandatory mini-camp on Tuesday. Joe is hoping for a miraculous Sears recovery. The Bucs don’t need a chink in the team’s strongest unit, and it would be criminal for Sears to stain his burgeoning career.

Maybe Derrick Brooks, Tony Dungy or Rachel Watson can reach out to the guy.

Maybe we should just give him a break and hope he comes back ready to play and does not make a fool of the team like that dude from the raiders the night before the super bowl. We should drop the donut on this one and hope he gets better. Any extra pressure may keep him from ever joining the team again.

Any chance this is a contract situation? Like what Graham did last year, and Ruud has done so far in the OTA’s?

I am in the (psychology) field and I want as many people out there to know that depression is very serious. A person can literally be smiling and playing around with you while they are feeling like there world is crumbling in their hands. There is a stigma that goes along with depression, some people seem to think that patients that suffer from it’s affects are in some way weak (that’s why they are good at hiding it’s affects until it is too late). That is simply false. People w/ real depressive disorders are suffering from a hormonal chemical imbalance just like people with thyroid problems, or diabetes, Lupis, Lou Gehrig’s, etc…

You wouldn’t tell ole Lou Gehrig to suck it up, would you?

Oh Jorge, I feel so much better now, almost like I just had my colon cleansed. Oh thank you, thank you so much for your words of wisdom. I guarantee you that a Marine Corps Drill Instructor can solve the worst case of depression 100 out of 100 times. They have a 3 month program that cures Smoking, Drug Addiction, Depression, Snoring, Acid Reflux, Tired Blood, Lethargy, ADD, Obesity, Computer Butt, and Remote Carpel Syndrome. If it looks like a Quack, Quacks like a Quack, chances are it’s a Quack. Duck, Hurry. Incoming!!!

Forgive me if I don’t take my medical advice from a guy that chugs down Big macs and diet cokes…

Ignorance is bliss my friend and even the toughest marine loses it and takes “his this is my rifle this is my gun” and blows the top of his freakin’ head off…

I am not a bleeding heart liberal idiot I am just giving you the scientific facts…But your ignorance is amazing…I’ll call the marines when I need something blown up in the middle of the night…I hope no one in your family has to endure the things I have seen some families go through…

Again, I’m not talking about a bad case of the Mondays genius…It’s like asking someone to battle through a heart attack and suck it up…

You’re the guy who doesn’t go to the doctor because you’re scared they will find something…I know we fear what we don’t understand, but Dang! You smart not…

  6. BigMacAttack Says:

C’mon Doc, nothing will kill you faster than a Diet Coke. I know you were serious and helping out, but I just had to take a shot.

Check the Military suicide rates. Off the charts and on the rise. As an Army nurse I have to watch soldiers for signs of this stuff all the time. Drill sargeants can rattle there brains all the time but I have to keep them from falling apart before it’s too late. I hope Sears is faking but Jorge is right. They are acting like the world is great when inside it’s crumbling. All this from a Med Sgt that has PTSD and MTBI. If you don’t know what these are Look them up. You may be enlightened. Get well Sears!
