Now Raheem Covets Marvin Harrison

Marvin Harrison may be Raheem The Dream's latest crush

Joe was unaware that Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times has a Twitter account. But Joe knows now. Seems that Aaron Wilson of ProFootballTalk.com knows about Stroud’s Twitter account.

Per Stroud’s Twittering earlier this evening, it seems Raheem may be losing his crush over NRA spokesman Plexiglass Burress and is now salivating over former Colts All-Pro receiver Marvin Harrison.

“Hearing reports that Bucs might be interested in Marvin Harrison. Makes sense if they’re looking at Plaxico…Need depth at WR… Not sure what Marvin Harrison has left in the tank or what he’s willing to play for.”

Though Joe isn’t sure what to make of this, Harrison would be better than Burress for the simple fact Harrison has his legal issues behind him. But Joe is starting to wonder just what Raheem the Dream thinks of the Bucs receivers sans Antonio Bryant if he openly lusts for Burress and is now thinking of picking up Harrison?

Apparently, Raheem must not think much of the other receivers. Otherwise, why talk about Burress or Harrison?

WTF?!?!?! Go the path???? God this is really starting to piss me off…. Why pick up and old reciever and cut Brooks???? Please some1 answer me…….(with knowledge of the game)

  2. Joe Says:

    Bingo Nick!

The Bucs are obviously under a youth movement. So why now go out and pick up a guy who is clearly on his last legs? It doesn’t add up.

Of course it makes sense – Q: What do WR’s Plex and Harrison have in common?

A: Both catch a football and like to shoot people.

Maybe Raheem is looking for someone who can keep Talib in check this season. After all maybe it will take someone with a concealed weapon to keep Talib in line! 🙂

To add to this, in the Profootballtalk.com piece done by Aaron Wilson. Wilson mentioned that Antonio Bryant is the one lobbying for any of the receivers mentioned (including a trade for Anquan Boldin) when AB was on a recent interview with Sirius NFL Radio, Quote “Why not him or Boldin?” AB said.

He also said, “Why not? Why not? Why not? We will all get our opportunities. Look, the Cardinals had Boldin and [Larry] Fitzgerald on the same field and got to the Super Bowl. There would be no problem here. You think I will complain about balls if we go to the Super Bowl? Come on!”

    Joe here,

JB, just fyi, we had the full transcript of Antonio Bryant’s interview published here at JoeBucsFan.com on May 26 long before it appeared anywhere else. https://www.joebucsfan.com/?p=10979

Nick you have it all wrong. The Buc’s are trying to rebuild when someone like Brooks is cut. But in turn they are allowed to go after every sorry ass player under the guise that “it will make us a better team”
Classic Buc management talking one way and acting another.

  8. JK Says:

Hey MTM, I thought Chucky was the only one that pertained to that last sentence of yours.

  9. Nick Says:

I dont see how Harrison is a sorry ass player just a little old……
