The Raheem The Dream regime has kept its word. It's found a quarterback who will compete seriously with Luke McCown. The Bucs have all but assured themselves a quarterback controversy.

Most Bucs fans have seen Byron Leftwich on the field but haven’t heard him speak.

Joe has dug up this Leftwich interview for you, one he did recently with ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike.

Leftwich talks about his next goal and how he has enjoyed finally going through an offseason without rehabilitating an injury. 

I really want to have a chance to go through an OTA program with whatever team I’m with and have an opportunity to compete [for a starting job] … .. That’s all I’m looking for right now. 

He also talks about the “best experience of my life,” referring to playing for and winning a Super Bowl with the Steelers last season.

Host and former NFL defensive tackle Mike Golic calls Leftwich “a big immobile quarterback” with” technical issues,” referring to his throwing motion.
