Free QB Clinic Saturday With Steve DeBerg

April 24th, 2009

Longtime NFL QB Steve DeBerg hosts a free QB clinic in Odessa on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Attention high school quarterbacks! Stop playing video games and make plans to head to a FREE quarterback clinic hosted by former Bucs, Chiefs, Falcons, 49ers and Broncos QB Steve DeBerg.

“The Quarterback Edge” clinic will be held at Keystone Park, 17928 Gunn Highway, in Odessa, on Saturday (that’s tomorrow) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

All local high school quarterbacks, their parents and coaches are invited.

No excuses. Get out there. It’s free.

DeBerg had one of the longest quarterbacking careers in NFL history and has worked with many Hall of Fame quarterbacks.

“I’m going to teach them techniques, analyze their techniques and have kids walking away understanding what NFL quarterbacks are doing,” DeBerg told JoeBucsFan.com. “The biggest challenge for young quarterbacks is their long release. Quarterbacks at a young age don’t understand that a more compact, more effecienty delivery is key, you can get more velocity.

“I really welcome the parents, espeically. It’s great to have the parents along to learn and help kids practice on their own time.”
