For fans of safety Jermaine Phillips, Joe advises you not to visit the San Diego Chargers official Web site.

The top story there now is about Phillips’ visit to Chargers Park on Monday and Tuesday.

You have to think the team is very interested if they put the guy on the Web site with a big picture. No doubt the game film of Phillips looks great, especially him hauling ass to strip that Falcons tight end at the 1 yard line in Atlanta.

Joe is flabbergasted the Bucs are playing with fire and have not yet re-signed Phillips, who was front and center at Raheem Morris’ introductory news conference to cheer on his friend and new head coach.

Mark Dominik should give the guy market value, a big hug and don’t try to convince Joe and all the fans that Sabby Piscitelli is ready to step in like he expects Quincy Black, Adam Hayward, Geno Hayes, Matt McCoy to do at linebacker.

It’s ok Joe. Gruden was holding all our back ups back. Now without that liar and meanie all these bench players he was holding back can really shine. Mike Clayton is going to lead them. It’s going to be a great year!!

What is happening here!!! I don’t understand the thought behind taking a nucleus of players that we had in Tampa that, without a four-game crap out to end the season, is a playoff competitor and a Super Bowl contender, cut the heart & soul of the franchise from the team and then let go of so many important pieces to the 4th ranked pass defense. Buchanon is gone and now Jermaine? It’s a lot for a guy to handle! Do we really have to endure a 4-12 season because of a new scheme? Yikes!
