Antonio Bryant Doesn’t Like His Contract

March 30th, 2009

Along with his displeasure over his $9 million raise, Antonio Bryant is less than enthusiastic about the Bucs' quarterbacks.

Seems as though Antonio Bryant got just about the biggest raise an NFL player can make. Yet he’s angry.

Per Mike Florio, the creator, curator and overall guru of ProFootballTalk.com, Bryant was on “The Tim Montemayor Show” on Sporting News Radio and whined about his massive pay raise where he is now making over $9 million.

“[But it’s] a one year contract, it’s a ‘prove yourself’ contract, again, and the circumstances for me have gotten a little tighter. Now I’ve got quarterbacks fighting for opportunities to showcase their talents so the ability that was there last year is gone. We lost a lot of leaders, so we’re going to have to find some leaders in the locker room. And we’ve got some guys that can step up but there’s a lot more tweaks and new things I’ve got to get comfortable with again. So it’s simple situation, but an unfair situation for myself.”

Wait a minute? You were making less than a million a year and you got a raise to over $9 million and it’s unfair???

Joe has some simple advice for Antonio Bryant:

Shut the f’ up!

Fair! Fair would be NFL players getting docked pay . Everytime one of them bitches about pay. Especially ones making top money in there position. Maybe if he wasn’t such a jackass on the previous teams before the Bucs. He would have a long term contract.

Bryant is great on the field! But he must have went to the TO receiver school of “place foot in mouth at every turn”.
