The New York Jets are currently experiencing the same thing the Green Bay Packers have gone through previously with QB Brett Favre.  Will he retire or won’t he?  And if he DOES retire, will he STAY retired?

According to Chris Mortenson of ESPN, the Jets expect an answer soon from Favre about retirement, and he supposedly WILL announce that he is going away for good.  Don’t count on it.

Fox’s feature continues here.

You people are CLUELESS. Did I not tell you Garcia was a goner? Can you not see the Bucs are getting younger at QB? I guess this is like the Enquirer, all shock, no substance. Favre will NEVER play here! I was really trying to like this site, then BAM, Brett Favre outta nowhere. Give it a rest, it’s plain to see, we’re not going that direction.

Dave, thanks for “trying to like the site.” Oh, it’s not that difficult. Thousands of people do. Plus, the Enquirer’s not all bad. Millions of people read it, and you usualy get a few good shots of Britney Spears and some comical breast enhancement ads on the back pages. … Nobody around here is rooting for Favre to arrive, but it’s still a small possibility given the offensive coordinator. Can’t you just see Raheem smiling and giving Favre a big hug?

Enoug Favre talk. Espn.com mentions Haynesworth possibly coming to Tampa. Now that’s more like it.
