Cadillac Williams thinks he can return to take the field for the Bucs in 2009. Joe isn't so sure.

Though Joe isn’t holding his breath, Bucs running back Cadillac Williams vows that he will play next season after blowing out his left knee in the season-ending loss to the Raiders, reports Fred Goodell of the Associated Press via NationalFootballPost.com.

“This process should be much easier,” Williams said, adding that former Tampa Bay teammate and current Carolina kick returner Mark Jones suffered a similar injury when he was with the Bucs.

Cadillac claims he was feeling nearly 100 percent when he suffered the injury. He sure ran like the old Cadillac Joe remembered.

Joe is optimistic Cadillac can pull it off. But realistically, no one can truly expect him to contribute next season.
