Both the St. Pete Times and the Tampa Tribune are reporting that Jeff Garcia stuck his head out of Chucky’s doghouse in practice on Wednesday.

Garcia got more reps in practice Wednesday and spent time working with the first team offense. And he might be named the No. 2 QB against the Broncos on Sunday.

The Times’ story quotes Bucs QB coach Greg Olson saying Garcia is looking fresh and fit.

“He seems healthy now, and his legs look better,” Olson said. “Even he said, ‘I was watching myself in the preseason games and in the opener, and I thought, gosh, I look so slow.’ So he started concentrating on the separation from the center.”
