If Favre Were Here: Week 1

September 8th, 2008

OK Bucs fans, you can do the math:

Yesterday, in a 20-14 Jets win at Miami, Brett Favre completed well over half of his passes, 15 of 22, for 194 yards, an average of 8.8 a pass. He also threw two touchdown passes. Favre did not have any interceptions.

In the Bucs 24-20 loss to the Saints at New Orleans, Jeff Garcia had slightly more yards (221) in just a few more completions (24) but he had 40 attempts. Then there was that brutal interception to end the Bucs chances where he threw into double coverage as if he was trying to throw the ball through two defenders.

So, yeah, the Bucs would have been better off with Favre in the first week.

Favre’s wife Deanna may not be Carmella, but I doubt you’d complain if she was the option.

Deanna Favre is no Carmella. But this week Bucs fans would have been better off with Deannas husband, not Carmellas.
