Injury report update.
The already sack-deprived Bucs defensive line will be without two of its best sackmeisters.
Gerald McCoy and Vinny Curry have been ruled out for Sunday’s game with the Browns. That’s per Friday afternoon injury report.
The two are nursing a calf and ankle injury, respectively. Neither practiced this week.
Defensive backs Carlton Davis and Jordan Whitehead were both on the injury report but both fully participated in practice at times. Both are listed as questionable for Sunday. Davis has a bum back while Whitehead is battling a hamstring.
The Browns have ruled out corner E.J. Gaines (not to be confused with E.J. Biggers), wide receiver Rashard Higgins and linebacker Joe Schobert.

As many starters out as possible I say….Lord only knows that our baxkups practice with minimal effort and are wildly unprepared.

GMC is a very good player, but it is weird how little drop off there is when he isn’t in the game

Nasty Nassib!!! Goldston has been playing better than GMC this entire season at DT. Not sure who the other back ups for DT are. Did we get Will Clarke from the streets? If not, go get him.

I’m not sure if its still there but Warren Sapp had an interesting video on his Instagram story. It showed the rushing touchdown late in the game after GMC had gone out. It showed how they ran right through his gap and how the linebacker and other DL missed the hole. He said, “This what y’alls defense gonna look like without Gerald”. Very interesting stuff…
I guess the GMC haters will finally get their wish of seeing us deprived of a top 3 DT in the game 🤷♂️

I would take GMC all day long as a rotational puzzle piece. He should have never been anointed in the first place. It took away any drive and grit he may have developed.

First Down……That is intresting did Sapp just warn us about how bad our defense could be?
Obvisously we are all Sapp fans but personally Ive always seen him as more of an ententainer………when it comes to television shows. His takes on X”s and O’s type things have neen quite silly at times.
Its just my opinion but I usually take his words with a grain of salt.

I had just seen it yesterday and I couldn’t remember if it was on his story or on his actual page. Going back it is obviously still there I just wasn’t sure.

We are last and have been last in defense for a long time now. McCoy had zero yes ZERO stats last week so tell me again how bad it’s going to be. Can you actually be worse than last? Can you have minus Stats?

GMC play has slipped this year, might be due to injuries, might be due to age catching up. As usual the D line is a few pieces short of an NFL defensive line.
Who will Bucs fans blame when he’s is gone? Thats the question I have.

He doesn’t tackle a bunch. He doesn’t sack. He absolutely doesn’t stop the run. He doesn’t make people around him better.
But he has a good get off, and he dissrupts…
He’s a poor man’s Booger McFarland, without a Warren Sapp around to make him better. That’s just is what he is.
Him missing the Cleveland game will not be the end of times.
