Operation Ali

Make the Pro Bowl great again.

Joe’s really getting tired of seeing Carolina fans from other teams stuff the Pro Bowl ballot box.

Yes, the Pro Bowl is somewhat of a sideshow, but why shouldn’t the Bucs be represented well?

So on that note, Joe is officially lobbying to stuff the Pro Bowl ballot for Bucs right guard Ali Marpet.

Vote Ali for the Pro Bowl!

Voting has opened, and you can do it right here, or by clicking through on Ali’s mug in the image above.

Did you hear today’s Ira Kaufman Podcast? Ira reveals that Marpet is having a Pro Bowl–caliber season, per the evaluations inside the walls of One Buc Palace.

Marpet is one of the great stories in NFL history. No Division-III football player has ever been drafted higher. And on top of that, Marpet was a left tackle in D-3, and the Bucs converted him to right guard as a rookie last season.

It’s a hell of an underdog story. But forget about that, Marpet is a mauler. And Gerald McCoy already declared him Pro Bowl material in great detail, so Joe’s all-in. It’s Operation Ali. Vote now or turn in your Bucs fan card.

I’m all for a campaign to get Marpet a pro bowl.

But the bucs were decently represented in Hawaii last year. Winston, Martin, GMC, and LVD. 4 players is a good haul, even if some of them were replacements.

Why are just focused on Marpet? Didn’t you write an article saying Kwon was the best LB on the team? Why not push for Kwon too!?!

    Joe

You are soooo on point with this one here. Marpet has been beasting all year vs fletcher Cox, A. Donald, I even think he handled Von Miller once or twice. Oh man, did you see him blow up kuechly? Playing like the best lineman on the team right now. I’ll vote for that!!!!!

  4. Lord Cornelius Says:

Loved that guy since the day we drafted him

  5. Tackleblockwin Says:

Hope he gets it…I know it’s s big deal for the players. He plays hard every down. But, why are we voting for pro bowl so soon. I’m a noob at this process.

  6. Pit Says:

  7. Buc1987 Says:

I’ve been watching this kid a lot this season.

He’s more of a mauler than I thought he was going to be and I thought he was going to be a bad ass to begin with.

    The kid’s a beast!

  8. Pawel Says:

I’m not voting because I don’t want Ali to get hurt at meaningless ProBowl game.

  9. gilhealy Says:

That’s an election I can get behind 👍🏻

  15. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The fact that they open the voting so early proves its a joke. How are people supposed to vote on the best of the year without seeing a majority of the year?

At this point, the Pro Bowl game is ruined. The voting is ruined. The Players could care less.

    Just do away with it.

It might also help if Joe would put this post at the top each day, like some of the ads!!

The one thing you can count on is that Ali is only going to get better from here on out. That young man is a hard worker and is a cornerstone to this BUCS Offensive line.
