We added a good piece with this signing. Tampa has lacked a decent edge rusher since Simeon Rice was here, and now it appears we got one.
I think he will do good, paired with McCoy, and our new DT we just got from Seattle.

i dont see how mccown coming doesnt mean they wont draft the qb of the future. mccown did say he will only play 1 or 2 more years , tops

This has no effect on whether we draft a QB or not. This is for depth. I promise you Lovie is not stupid enough to think this guy is going to be the future.

Yes the Bucs may still draft a QB. It won’t be Manziel though. -100% chance they use that first on a QB now. It’s locked in as OL, pass rush or Watkins.

Pretty sure this means we are not drafting a QB in the 1st, maybe Derek Carr or Jimmy G in the 2nd?

I really don’t think Lovie thinks all that much about the QB position. He knows it’s important, but focuses mainly on the D. That’s just my opinion.

Looks like L&L are hoping that McCown is the 2014 version of 2002 Brad Johnson who helped the bucs win the superbowl behind a historic Defense… that offense was also ranked 30th in the league and scored 18PPG
