“Not Going To Make The Same Mistake Twice”

December 2nd, 2013

Don’t fret, Mike Glennon Mob members. Your quarterback remains mentally strong.

During Glennon’s postgame news conference yesterday, he declared that he’ll study his errors against the Panthers and emerge better. “I’m not going to make the same mistake twice,” Glennon said emphatically. (Full audio below via Joe’s friends at WDAE-AM 620.)

There are mental mistakes & physical mistakes….I believe that Glennon puts a great deal of work & study into his game….I also believe he holds himself accountable for his mistakes (unlike Freeman)….so, I trust he will learn from his mistakes and not repeat.
As far as the physical mistakes (losing the ball out of his hand)
Nobody can claim they won’t repeat. As an example, Reggie Bush stated he wouldn’t fumble again this year and two games later, he fumbled again.
A player is stupid to predict something beyond his control. He can never know how well an opposing player may affect him.

Humility from our leader, and QB, is a great thing.

I like Glennon and think he does have a future in the NFL. But for the time being I’m going to stay away from the “F” word (franchise). He’s taking instruction well and saying (unlike RG 3 Sticks) all the right things too.

I understand what he means when he says that he won’t make the same mistake twice, but I know he realizes this is the second game against the Panthers with the same result.

Not your fault, young man! Some genius put together a run first offense against the best defense in the NFL and thought it would work!

Nobody sez “hey I sucked on that one and can’t wait to do it again”.
