A 12-0 Team On Film

Much like Greg Schiano, Joe’s heard  a lot of “baloney” in his day. And it seems like WDAE-AM 620 Bucs beat writer Tom Krasniqi, affectionaly known as Tkrazz, digested a dose of it today at One Buc Palace. 

Chatting with Donald Penn about Sunday’s game, Krasniqi reports via Twitter that Penn said the Eagles look like an undefeated team. Apparently, Krasniqi wasn’t buying any of it.

Now Joe’s a huge Penn fan, but that take is way over the top.

Film junkie and former NFL personnel executive Pat Kirwan is bellowing all over NFL Radio about how the Eagles didn’t want to tackle against Dallas and have made U-Haul reservations. Anyone can see the lost-eight-in-a-row Eagles are circling the drain.

Surely, Penn can see the difference between the and the last two teams he’s studied on film: the Falcons and Broncos.

Regardless, Joe appreciates the mentality, no matter how silly the expression of it might be.

    I like the attitude of approaching every game as if it is going to be hard fought to the finish. Otherwise some guys might relax, like they were doing for the last 10 games last year…

    Please, behind closed doors Penn and the Bucs are talking about how bad they are gonna maul Philadelphia. Its not often I say this: Bucs win in a rout. This game is free.

    I’m sure it has been mentioned once or twice in meetings who will be in attendance Sunday. This team of young men will be wanting to prove themselves to the elder statesmen. Best effort of the year upcoming.

    You have to prepare this way for EVERY opponent, otherwise you become complacent.

    I echo shutthebucup’s comment.
    We need to go into every game as if we’re playing a 12-0 team and build the other team up each week. This prepares us mentally AND if we get beat it makes it sound like the other team was better than they were so we don’t look so bad. lol

    Hard to believe TKrass AND Joe did not grasp the meaning of what Penn was saying.
