This comes from NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero. Apparently. Mayfield suffered a contusion on his throwing hand yesterday. Tests show nothing major but he’s on floppy hat patrol.
As a result, Kyle Trask is your temporary No. 1 quarterback.
This now makes two quarterbacks on the shelf for the Bucs, Mayfield and No. 3 quarterback Michael Pratt.
Pelissero reported Mayfield is “day-to-day.”
